On the topic of Minotaur, for early/mid game players it's a much better deal than for late game players. When you can't reliably farm the later stages, you expend FAR more energy. It's an overall gem savings if you farm stage 10 for example, and saves you a TON of time. It also increases your champions effectiveness, meaning you can advance to farther stages of all dungeons (and campaign!) Making all your energy more efficient from that point forward.

I like to spend them on champ masteries. That shit take forever and a shitload of energy to farm out enough to complete all of them for a single champ. 800 gems to fully book one out is a huge time and energy saver in my opinion. You also have to factor in that when you are not using that energy to farm scrolls, you can use that energy to farm gear or exp or whatever else you need.

I think as a new player the Masteries have even more value. It’s going to be quite a while before you can clear Minotaur at the level you need to max them out, and it will also help loads with farming campaign (for loot and levels) when you only have 1 6*.

Just wanted to give you a shoutout. While watching this video, while it wasn't anything eye opening as I'm fairly experienced, it led me to spending 900 gems to buy 11 more ancients to finish off the event for the final Lego Tome book... and in my 10-pull I finally rolled a Vizier!!!!!!! (And Smashlord)!!!! :O :O :O (Chofly Elite but never had a game changing CB champ)

The vast majority are scared or reluctant when it comes to investing money in a game. Immediately those who say: "pay to win" appear. NO, partially wrong! There are players who throw money and have the impression that they will reach the first place in the first 2 days of play. Before I started the Raid I studied the problem for about a week and came to SALT, which seemed to me the most direct. There is still much to be said about efficiency in the game and what I do to make good progress without compromising. On the other hand, the thing with money is also a reward for those who develop the game and do everything possible for a pleasant experience. P.S. and NO, I'm not working at Plarium! :)))

This is one of the two games I've ever even considered supporting. Granted it was the $4.99 option, but it was a decent deal and wanted to support the devs for making a game on a phone that I appreciate.

@@alitteroftastypancakes7192 I started playing on the tablet, after a month I told myself to install an android emulator, but somehow I found the PC version. The game suddenly reinvented itself. :) Money I haven't invested yet, I expect the 90 days to pass to make an assessment. At the moment I have 40 days on active duty and the rewards are decent, gems are ok, Xp boost decent, the current currency is sufficient. I still don't want to force anything on the course of the game. The only interesting thing is those daily gems. After 90 days I will make a decision. :) Cheers!

'Bout 100 days in and I am still finding it rather difficult to get away from XP boosts. What I mean by that is with XP boost on, you want to be farming campaign as its where XP is gained. With XP boost off, I feel so much better actually doing dungeons.

I mainly use my gems for refills when I get the EXP boost from the weekly quest. Since it only lasts 1 day, figured I gotta make the most of it, especially since I only have 2 6 stars atm

Refills are a great way to use gems. Energy is so important in RAID having more of it is never a bad thing!

Good list, agree with you everywhere. Never bought silver or potions and the only time I ever unlocked a keep was to finish off a fusion (it wouldn't have opened again before the end of the event).

Might I suggest moving the Mastery scrolls purchase higher on the list for you first 60, and then diminishing per champion until you can farm Mino 15.

Actually, its better to grind mino with 4 heroes that already have maxed their masteries, you'll spend 660gems, but you'll have 600k silver and level 43 on the hero you're grinding

This is a pretty smart way to min max, for some reason I always seem to level my champs before I get masteries on them.

Could get even better exp if you're lucky enough to have one or two heroes that can do mino by themselves. Your leveling hero would get 50% or 33% of the exp instead of just 20%.

@@SALTx Bluestack auto farming is the best way as if you sleep 7-8 hours a day you waste hours of energy. So before you go to bed set up the macro to stop running 4-5 hours before you wake up and you will not waste the energy regen. This is how i am farming up my first team of scrolls.

I'm just happy that Sparring Pit wasn't in the bad category. It's not amazing, but it's quite useful in the long run I'd say. Especially if you are F2P who doesn't play 24/7 or have something else to do that raise food. Btw, where's does it say you can only get 5 ancient shards from the market? Is this announced/confirmed somewhere???

Don't know if it has been mentioned already, but that daily Gem deal actually nets you over 3,000 gems if you save all your gems from the guaranteed sources (excluding tournaments, events, and 1-time rewards) during those 30 days. You'll get 2140 gems from the pack + 300 for completing daily quests + 100 for that one monthly quest, bringing that total to 2540. Now, notice that your gem mine cycles 55 mins short of 24 hours. This gives you 15.57 gems per 24 hour period, giving you 467 gems after 30 days. This brings the total to 3007 gems for that 30-day time period. Now, THAT is a hell of a deal!!!

I have only used gems to buy 1 big shard pack during the last double rate event. Got 2 legendary from those 11 shards. Now i can't imagine spending gems on anything else. Drexthar and Brachus if your wondering which ones i got.

I have 7 full mastery champs. I’m at the point it’s more worth manually farming a champ’s mastery. Side note-when farming scrolls for a new champ, you gain the benefit of leveling your champion for “free”. I don’t know if it’s enough to get an epic/legendary to 6*, assuming you have the food

min 14:25 arena refresh: i am a fresh starter, 2 weeks "old" i got 3 missions: 1 mission: get 20 silver and 2 missions: reach silver tier, so because i maxed the mine and getting a little bored of not focus on those missions and i had a lot of arena tokens i got to the silver tier with using about 100-120 gems with a starter team of champions. at least i finished those 2 missions... and i got 5 silvers for upgrades... so... 4 me it worked.

XP boost for 3 days starts to become worth it after you buy 8 energy refills-worty now like buying 16 energy refills.it will cost 600 gems and the equivalent of that in only energy refills is 15. And if you buy more it's better bang for buck

Hi there. We have now dragon tournament and I don't understand their prices for 3. and 4. places. 3th place gives you an ancient shard and 4th 100 gems and 100 gems are definitely more valuable then one ancient shard. If I get 9 tournaments with rewards like that I would have 900 gems for 4th place and 9 ancient shards for 3th place and with 900 gems I can buy 11 shards, get 220 K silver and I would save energy for being fourth then third like 1K-3K (for 9 tournaments). They don't see that??

I only use the gems for the big shard pack, it's either a new champion or a duplicate which becomes a 'book' for a champion i already have, way to slowly skill max the champions without using real cash.

Remember if you use gems for scrolls, all the energy that you would use for minotaur can be used on other dungeons. Also mino is boring as hell and takes ages

i came to raid because they had an offer for twitch prime members. they gave players an insane amount of energy and it distorted my perception of its value. the twitch prime loot drops are extremely generous. they drop like every two weeks until april. enough loot just from that to easily justify the entire prime membership--no really.....

Between a big shard pack and a small shard pack there is not a BIG difference, one is 90 gems each shard and the other one is 81.8 each, if u don’t have enough gems or u dont feel like wasting 900, u can buy the small one and it’s gonna be pretty forgiving

I budget myself $70-100 a month on Raid. That doesn’t include the 9.99 for the monthly raid pass. I never buy gem packs even if there are no good offers. If I find myself needing energy (I always have gems) but let’s assume I did not have any, I would buy the conqueror pack. Even the $9.99 one. Yes you get shorted 1 ancient shard, but what is that one ancient shard really worth? 50-75 cents.... no biggie

Here is a tip for YOU SALT! Level up your Bellower in minotaur while grinding scrolls and you will get a lot of free levels. Heard a lot of unkillable comps just jump clans like 20 times a day, and they buy a lot of clan boss keys.

I don't think the XP boost is worth it. If anything just wait til you finish your weeklies then farm xp with the banner for that day and part of the next day. Also you can always refer yourself and get a 3 xp boost for free

It's hard for me to understand "profit" in it. I mean after all its just a game. The goal of it is to play it. If you'll become *the best player eva* nothing will happen in rl and you won't get a prize or something... The only reason to spend money on it is to get faster to top tier lvls. Saving you time. But then again the question is what for? Are you annoyed by playing the game longer? Strange feeling which I never had... Since the game is free I stick to it. I'm happy to live in times where good games are made free-to-play ^^
