Great video. I’ve used both of these and I love both of them. Having a hard time deciding myself. My last project I drafted in NovelPad, and edited in Scrivener 😂

I could see that combo working! There are so many ways to go about it. Good luck with whichever you choose this time around, and thanks for checking out the video.

Any chance you could do a review of Dabble Writer? It has similar features, and feels like it might be the best of both worlds.

@@andrewwarren3849 I could certainly try! That’s a great suggestion, thanks.

Thank you for your input, however I think something that could make your videos flourish is to script them. That way you can avoid unnecessary repetition and get your thoughts across better.

Reauthorization really pisses me off. I should be able to buy it and never be online again.

I agree

Out of these two I have to go with Scrivener without hesitation. I'm using it to write an outline the story my next game project. It's takes a bit getting used to but one it clicks you'll love it. It's a one time purchase too. I'm not a fan of subscription software so Novelpad is a hard pass for me.

Hoping someone can help. How do I know what page I am on while in NovalPad manuscript? Like in word, page numbers and word count. Can't find that in NovalPad.
@YvesThePoet5 ай бұрын
For word count I think you can select the text and it shows up in the pop-up, or you can refer to the analytics page for the entire count. Page count I’m not sure about since I’d usually just export the doc anyway to see how it shapes up in word. I would probably try another KZbin review that’s more in depth for your answer here; this is the best I can do. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have you tried Novelcrafter yet? It's the one I use. I've used Scrivener and had all the same pros and cons that you had. Novelcrafter's UI and functionality is the hybrid of Scrivener and Novelpad. It's got almost all the features that Scrivener has, but within a modern interface.

I hadn’t heard of it! This sounds great. I’ll absolutely give it a try. Thank you!

I’m not sure. But the literature and latte forum has some inquiries on it so maybe check there? Hope you find your answer. Good luck!

novelpad is not cheap. its $15/month or $120/year. scrivener for ipad/iphone is only $20 while the computer program is $60. novelpad is only cheaper if u anticipate ur entire writing career to not last beyond four months.

Yes you are correct. I’ve indicated this on a chart after filming the recording, which should display the correct numbers - though keep in mind the numbers do fluctuate a tiny bit depending on the type/brand of device. NFA
