Here are a few tips to make the farm a lot more efficient. It takes about 1 minute and 40 seconds until the Allay dies of the campfire and that time doesn't change when the Allay is holding an item. You can use a water bucket instead of a splash bottle of water to extinguish the campfire when the Allay is about to die, this save you a whole lot of glass, blaze powder, gunpowder and time and it doesn't break anything in the farm. NOTE: You have to connect a quick double redstone pulse machine to the water dispenser to make this work, otherwise the Allays will glitch out! Here is the name of the machine i used: "Minecaft Bedrock - a quick double pulse" made by tufu. It takes the Allay about 10 seconds to regenerate to full health. The trident killer doesn't kill faster if you put more then 4 tridents in (4 tridents max).

To those of you on bedrock I recommend adding a dispenser with a flint and steel then wire that to a button and wire the dispenser with water to splash the fire to a long delay circuit, that will not allow the fire to stay on for more than a minute so that the Allays do not die. Also, I would recommend reducing the amount of allays to reduce the bugging and glitching out. Before anyone says anything I gave them blocks and name tags.

@@grasstastezbad3629 yeah I seemed to fix the allay suffocating issue by just placing cobblestone for the block above them. Another trick I figured out was you can just get 1 or 2 allays in the chamber first and then breed them while they’re there instead of before hand so its much much easier

SPECIAL ADVICE! If you got tired of using allays, use yourself instead. (I mean it) I just decided to try that out. If you have Prot lV and diamond or netherite armor, then you don't get any actual damage done to you, and you still get all the xp :)

@wolfy478 it's quite simple. Just leave the campfire floating about 4 or 3 blocks up in the air. And try not to put any blocks around you so the silver fish won't spawn on a surface, giving them a chance to escape. Just stand on the campfire and drink the potion, and it would work perfectly :D I suggest using netherite armor since it has knockback resistance -w- (I'm considering making a 1min vid explaining it)

Word of warning! I play on Switch mostly and only let the farm run for about 6 seconds and the lag from the farm crashed the game hard! Amazing farm, but if the system can't run it be careful. I would HIGHLY recommend trying this in a test world first. Lastly, I would love to see you add a second dispenser to this near the trident killer to add oozing potions so you can stock up on slime balls and even more XP (assuming it won't kill the computer!)

I had to use water buckets instead of water bottles to put the campfire out and if you left it running too long the allays died because some of the silver fish attacked the allays.

@@Hemborgir it did work, as the trident counts as you killing it. The issue was the slimes spawned in the trident killer and over half of them immediately glitched outside of the trident killer walls. There is probably a way to make this work, but I haven't had time to play with it enough yet.

Its made well except for the fact that it isnt automatic, and if you wait too long the allays die. i had to make a Redstone timer to auto put out the campfire and i suggest you do too, this way you dont have to have timer on your phone or something to remind you to put out the campfire. dont trust all the other bs, the way he makes it in the video leads to allays dying regardless if they have a block in their hands or a name tag. build a Redstone timer

I am writing this comment because of my absolutely horrendously painful experience trying to build this farm. I spent about 2 and a half hours trying to get this to work. After struggling with the allays for who knows how long and finally getting 6 out of my 10 allays into the ine block space, i decided to try out the water bucket method for the campfire. Suddenly, they all escaped. This happened after i broke the entire top chamber. I'll get back to building that farm some other day.

For mobile user, this classic trident kill chamber is not enough to support the wave of silver fish. You will need a more faster one. I used a 3x3 trident killchamber with 3 trident and a magma floor.

I play on a relam sever on bedrock, specifically xbox and I literally built this farm exactly as what was shown in this video and at first I had no problems with it... HOWEVER! I noticed that the farm stopped working for some reason even though I have 6 allays each holding smooth stone, are named with name tags to prevent them from despawning and normally I only have it on for about 20-30 seconds or so because if not the game starts to lag with the amount of sliverfish spawning in like crazy. When I activate the splash potion of infestation, the allays actually don't spawn in sliverfish like they used to. Instead they just sit there under the camfire taking damage, and only the water bottle seems to work to stop the farm.... Im not sure on what could be wrong with it since the farm was working well until now.... got any tips?

This farm was probably great before it got somehow fixed or something, I just spent hours on a regular world, not a realm, trying to get allays into the hole and they didn’t die after lighting the campfire, but died shortly after before I even used the farm and yes, they had blocks in their hands. I don’t understand why it doesn’t work but there must’ve been some sort of hot fix. If you do want to try the farm, try putting the note block system closer to the little tube that the allays go in so they go in the hole.

I would absolutely not recommend this XP farm. It's interesting enough to build in creative, but I just built one in survival and it was a disaster. It took forever to build because the allays kept giving me issues and in the end it was incredibly buggy. I think he briefly mentioned that in the video, but it was understated. On switch + realms the game completely glitched out and stopped working. On a pretty good gaming PC + realms it did a bit better. Locally on a PC even a bit better, but still incredibly glitchy. I built it pretty much exactly as described and if I let it run for longer than ~10 seconds the silverfish would just start to break out of the blocks around the container. The game couldn't hold them. Not to mention that my allays teleport out of that tiny block when I leave... even with nametags. All of that time, for one session. I got a decent amount of XP, but from what I can tell there are comparable farms that are much less work and way less glitchy.

Spent about 3 hours making this because of the alleys then finally got it and my game immediately dropped to 1 fps and I couldnt turn it off the alleys died and silver fish destroyed it all

You have to leave the farm for 20 seconds so allays regen health

@@rocster4712 i made a drop chamber that is 1x1 and they get to 1 heart so they die quickly to the trident. i also added a lava pool below the kill chamber so if they shoot out then they die. hope this helped
