I feel like the pulls I have gotten from this set are the luckiest out of many of the other packs I have tried pulling out of. I got a ghostrick Lantern at the sneak preview, and I got a ghost rare Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand at a tournament from three packs, with it being in the first one. so in total, I have gotten two decently priced cards from 8 packs. the only one that tops that is an Abyssmegalo from two abyss rising packs.

a lot of the higher tier decks benefit from adding cards from there deck to there hand. I.e when the dragon rulers use there eff of when they are banished they search. With mistake on the field, they can't use that effect.

Aunim Pyro, you'd think they do, but if you think about it, Archetypes actually do the opposite. By using an Archetype Deck, a player unconsciously accepts a restricted mode of play. You'll notice how most Archetypes (Madolche, Battlin' Boxer, etc.) revovle around a single strategy, and can only initiate that strategy with other members of the Archetype. Meanwhile, a Deck constructed in the manner of Yugi's or Kaiba's (a Deck with a ragtag assortment of monsters with effects that can be brilliantly combined in ways no one would expect, specifically referring to how their Decks were early on during Duelist Kingdom and the Battle City Prelims, not later on when they became about the Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon) are actually better These kinds of Decks (Strategy Decks) are the ideal as they allow for more flexible combos. For example, "Blockman" Special Summons Block Tokens for each turn it's been face-up on your side of the field, but most likely your opponent would try and destroy "Blockman" by battle before you would get the chance to do that. So if you use "Swords of Revealing Light" to stop your opponent from attacking for three turns, you can accomplish this by then sacrificing all three Block Tokens for a high-cost Tribute Summon, perhaps for a God Card. I like those kinds of Decks because they force the player to apply serious tactical thought as opposed to Archetype cards in which the strategy's provided for you and all you're doing is going along with it. Furthermore, I find that any character using an Archetype Deck doesn't deserve to be called a 'skilled' Duelist since the Deck's entire strategy is provided for them. Meanwhile, a character like Yugi Muto deserves to be called skillful because his early Deck forced him to think about all the different ways a card can be used and how he could combine seemingly random card effects together to form wonderful plays. In addition, splashable cards (as they are called) can be combined in a single Deck to form ANYTHING, which infinitely provides more variety than Archetypes ever will. Now, if you play an Archetype Deck and have been offended by anything I've said, please accept my apologies as offending wasn't my intention. I just believe that the type of Deck played by Yugi Muto is the ideal because of how it forces the player to think about how they can combine all the different card effects together. Now, regardless of what kind of Deck you play, I hope you have a nice day and continue to enjoy the game whenever you play it.

Tived Nagol sorry but i do disagree with that. since my main deck is battlin' boxers and i hav made 5 different types of it and how to play it, i made synchro version, pure xyz, anti meta, chaos and now i stopped with anti meta stun since thats the best one atm. but anyway all archetypes still got their main combo doesnt matter how many other things u put in it and i think that shows variety like a battlin' boxer deck vs a black wing deck.... its a good match up for boxers coz of their main combo but they will struggle vs books since book's combo can take out yoke. so i think its better that way since you have to think about ur deck a lot and try to cover up all the gaps of weakness it has and when u beat another archetype which is ur bad match up, it feels good like dragon and books. We won't have that in a non archetype duel, we will most likely be using decks very similar to each others since thats the best made like dragon is this format, so i think it will be boring without archetypes

Tived Nagol Mate, I think you are taking this a bit too seriously. Archetypes are there because they are needed, otherwise, you would see the same deck being played everywhere (dark hole, msts, swords, mirror force and a bunch of staple monsters). This is wrong, archetypes add variety to the decks and the strategies. After all, strategies in yugioh are not that hard to make, if you have played a lot, it's pretty much straight up. The tough thing is knowing when to use each card etc. But I guess you have your opinion and I have mine.
