Thanks, last summer, I was riding up steep hills with my fatty. Ebikers passing me and one guy yelling: "you got to have ebike mate". I spoke to him again as we stood at the top of the hill and admired the scenery. He said, he still rides manual bikes too, but for the ride like this, it's better to have an electric bike. You can ride more in the same day and I agree :-)

I did exactly the same ride last year on my normal bike. I was exhausted and didn't have as much fun.

It is so bizarre. Auckland is just awash with water. The Riverhead enduro was meant to be today but postponed as too wet.

Another great video Lance. No curse, which os always good. Has the Captain been taking speed lessons. Nice to see him on camera (briefly). If the dad’s army crew are away- you should ask them to use their own Gopros to film a short bit that you can toe together for all of us viewers who have bought into the crew scene. Hope the Queenstown holiday is/was brilliant

Graham has been in Queenstown for 6 weeks so clearly been getting some practice in. I like the gopro idea and have used before. Does make editing the video very long.

Great video Lance really enjoyed it. Far out South Island is getting all the summer weather that ain’t fear . Then once you think we get summer weather back again it turns to carstard . I’m surprised you didn’t bump into Janna the n z under 21 mtb down hill champ in Rotorua she is living down there now.

Hi Lance, How much did it cost to ship your battery? I'm currently living in Sydney and taking my Levo up to Cairns with me on the plane. Battery hire up there is expensive so I'm looking at other options. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks

I paid about $35 dollars return. I used my bike shop as they are used to shipping batteries but it could be done on your own. It does need to be labelled correctly stating it is hazardous goods. Good luck.

Initially I was a little offended as I have been on a diet but then I realized you meant the bike. I booked a flight with two bags. One had the bike with no wheels and no battery. The other bag was the wheels and my cloths.

It is funny how much work it is going down. The e bike is actually more work down as the motor never cuts in so if I have to pedal any sections it is harder than a normal bike.

Could be dirty old men but to be honest it was great to see Robin. I have met her several times racing in Rotorua when she was just a young girl. It is great to see a young local kiwi make good on the international stage.
