Geeeez and Nek Minit. Two new trails in Riverhead Forest.

I venture back into Riverhead forest despite all the rain to check out two new trails. Geeeez and Nek Minit. I struggle to find the trails but have another epic mountain biking adventure on the KTM Prowler.

Thanks for checking out our trails Lance, hopefully Geez starts to dry out as it will be a pretty fast track. As you could see we are working on the upper half of nek minnit so sorry about the confusion there, we're also working on another track that will start near Geez.

I am always confused. I found that other track. Rode down it but realised it wasn't finished. Decided to edit that out.

I was up there yesterday are..tracks are starting to dry and getting a bit more grippy. I ride RIverhead all year round...your vids have helped me find a few more unknown tracks.

Gutted to hear Lewis & Co is has had to close their doors. Although their website hints they may still be doing suspension servicing, which I'm thankful for, being pretty much the only place in Akl that does!

Yes it is a real shame. Running a bike shop is a hard way to make a living. We complain about the costs but then seem shocked when they close. Hopefully they can service suspension out of a cheaper location.

Nek Minit is a great track (if you are going down it as least). You have probably found out by now, but that track that you rode down that wasn't finished is now finished and it is awesome fun. It is called Geezet's.

Hi Lance, I use the Kiox navigation screen and find it really good to avoid having to stop and look at my phone...

@@bestdayevermtb2 I use Kamoot to set up the trail I want to ride/find. Save that and share it to my phone, start up Kiox, connect to the phone with Bluetooth and follow the blue line. Great for route finding..

@@bobmcleod149 I have been playing with Kamoot tonight. Managed to get it to work but when I looked at Riverhead forest I found that none of the trails are named and many are missing. Also found it hard to make routes that had loops in them. Maybe ok on road. Where do you use it?

You are lucky as you are starting early. When I was 9 mountain bikes didn't exist neither did BMX. I think just spend time on the bike. Over time you will feel more confident on the bike. To be honest just go out and have fun.
