This is epic Lance, and pretty inspiring. I'm a lot older than you (I assume) and quite a bit more timid, but I'm going to have a go at the easier Glendhu trails (with a E-bike), and definitely do the Whakarewarewa Forest Loop. Thanks mate!

The day we went to Glendhu was truly spectacular. One of my favorite riding days other than leaving my bag at the top. If you can ride to the top. There is an easy track down and it is great fun. Try warming up on the lower tracks first.

This video definitely made my day a tiny bit better. Went up to Riverhead for the first time today and I had a crash on the top half of Geez, which put a dent in my top tube. Hopefully my local bike shop gives it the all clear so I can keep riding that frame.

Bugger that is a real shame. I assume it is alloy. If seriously damaged sometimes your house hold insurance will cover it. I got s new bike this way once.

@@bestdayevermtb2 Yep it is alloy. Had some people check it over and they are saying that it would be fine for light riding, but for what I am doing it will probably not work out well. I hope the house insurance would be able to cover this.

The channel has always been around the 2% mark. I do wonder if devices are registered to men but women watch the videos as that number seems very low. The same is for kids. KZbin says very few kids watch it but I don't think that is correct. We don't mind women riding with us it is just very few want to.😁

Finally someone let you ride their bike. Much appreciation for the Whyte review. How does the Whyte compare your KTM and the Trek Rail?
@bestdayevermtb22 жыл бұрын
It was a good bike but hard to compare as only 150 travel, three years old and 27.5 with low spec. A new model with higher end components would be much better.

I own a Whyte s-150crs v2. The pluses is that the geo is nice, has threaded bottom bracket and same size bearings for the suspension linkage. Progressive linkage too (I have a coil on mine now). Negatives is that the paint is stupid thin (very easy to scratch), the cables are below the bottom bracket and thus exposed to damage (although haven't damaged them yet) and the integrated seatpost is a stupid design.
