To fully charge a 4000 mAh li-ion phone battery from a 12V 100 Ah fully charged truck battery would use ~1.2% of the truck battery charge--which isn't anything to be concerned about. To charge from a 12V 45 Ah fully charged car battery would use ~3% of the car battery charge--which still isn't anything to be concerned about.

Use this when we're on road trips to charge laptops and camera batteries, Sometimes it's on for hours at a time. Never had an issue.

⚠️Most outputs on Aux/cigarette outputs have a fuse rating of 10 amps (well, in the UK they do) meaning you can only draw up to 120 watts. Connect directly to the battery (make sure you use an inline fuse rated around 30 amps on a 300w inverter to allow for peak power) and you can draw the expected load from the inverter, make sure it's well insulated too. Do not increase the fuse rating on the Aux/cigarette output unless you want fireworks 💥💥💥

Well, I would have liked the AC sine wave tested, i.e. claims to be a 'pure sine wave' (a safer option vs. a modified one) but for the price, I need to be convinced - otherwise enjoyed the review!

FYI - Some vehicles require that the ignition switch is on "accessory" or greater to activate the 12 volt outlet. Also, limit amp draw to no more than the maximum specified by the vehicle manufacturer. Inverter limits (roughly assuming about 80 - 85%% efficiency and 12 volt input) - Vehicle Manufacturer's 12 Volt Power Maximum Ratings: 10amp - 100 Watt limit, 15amp - 150 watts, 20amp - 200 watts. 25amp - 250 watts.

I bought this it lasted a week before it started burning up fuses I was very disappointed. It worked great at first but now as soon as you push the power button it blows the fuse..

check your consumption. if you use more than your fuse can allow it will blow up!!!

That's a big fuse. I wonder if it could still blow the truck fuse due to the cigarette lighter plug is probably 15 amp. Ever think if plugging in a surge protector to it then running your off of that? Thanks for sharing.

+Grandpaw_G grant yeah it is a big fuse, and you are right it probably would blow the truck fuse first anyway. I havent tried plugging in a surge protector, so I'm not sure how that would work. Good question though, thanks for the input!

Is the amperage an issue? I drove a "big truck" (semi) for years and had a 500W plug in inverter. I found it would scream at me if I plugged into any of the eight 12V outlets EXCEPT for the "cigarette lighter" which is 15A vs 10A for the rest.

Does your inverter have a sound of something is loose on the inside of it upon tilting it? I ordered 2 units recently and both out of the box( before using them ) rattles as if a loose component is inside of it.

How could you not mention the brand of the inverter that did so much damage!? Definitely want to make sure not to get that one! Do you think a person should be worried about a hybrid car using an inverter in the cigarette lighter? Like a Prius I mean

Crappy review. Just fishing for content I guess. No scope. No measurement. Just “feels like it works good”. Actually the amount of emf noise emitted should tell you how bad this is. No measured power draw. No mention of grounding. This video is a waste of time for anyone
