Bestie The Stereo Mixer

We are excited to announce our new portable 5-channel stereo mixer Bestie. It is a re-imagination of our popular mixer Dude (released in May 2017), but this time for flexible stereo connectivity and with portable USB-powered setups in mind. But it comes with a twist! We are not new to mixer feedback and distortion so channel 3 on the Bestie is pre-routed as a feedback channel for that extra dirt and distortion. Without the feedback, Bestie is a very clean mixer with a clean boost with up to +20dB per channel and well-crafted saturation characteristics.

we took some extra steps so it is not just feedback but there is some eq going on so it sounds really good irl. It doesn't go through KZbin compression.

Mute switches are not technically clickless but we have added some curvature to the mute so it sounds like a clickless design

I don't know. Volca mix gives me stereo outs, an exciter, and compressor. I could just add my own favorite overdrive or distortion pedal that has a filter and still be in or slightly over the price point of this. Plus I still have a compact size and portability.

You are right, but IMHO Volca Mix and Bestie are two different devices for different types of use. Volca has more features (including small speakers), but only 2 mono and 1 stereo inputs. On the other side Bestie is more compact (less than 1/3 size of Volca) with simpler feature set, but offers 5 full stereo inputs. 🙂

You have pre and post option on The headphone out. With pre you can hear all inputs no metter what channels are muted on the main mix out

The price point for this made my nose bleed! For nearly $200, you can get an 8 channel mixer with USB input and or mp3 record. I have the Dude. It was $90, expensive for what it was but okay, happy to help support Bastl - usually. But this at $200... perhaps a bit too boutique for many, me included- and I love mixers Good luck with your new product. I pass. 🤔😯☹😒😔🙏

Yeah, you can get more features for this price. But you are missing the most important features of Bestie - that’s size and portability. And that you can power it using four AAs and USB. Lot of fully featured tabletop mixers are big and need a special adapter. But you can just drop Bestie with AAs into your backpack and be fine. 😊 Similarly sized Centrance Bouncer has the recording and costs 2 times as much. TX-6 has the recording and much more, but costs 6 times as much. The idea behind Bestie was to make the best small mixer, good for live performing and fun, for a reasonable price. 🙂
