Not a fan of the Spino lacking a neck, it looks too weird, and I'd prefer the titanosaur (hopefully not Titanosaurus itself, as that was a paltry 50 feet long, and likely invalid anyways) to have osteoderms rather than a sail, as several species are known to have had rows of spike-shaped armour plates on their flanks and hips. The second Quetz design is closer to what I remember the leaks being, and looks better than the awful spike-nose one. Would prefer feathers on the Raptor, but I love the JPIII design so I'm still happy. Love the Dominion Para, new T.rex, and Mosa.

I'm not sure how I feel about the spino and quetz redesign, i think going that route is a bit too extreme compared to something like the triceratops, stego and maybe even para redesigns for JW. especially the spino given how popular the original design is. I like the attempt to make them a little bit more paleo-accurate but losing what made people like those designs initially is definitely a risk

The quetz that better resembles a hornbill is a beautiful design. If any of these designs were to be what they look like in the film, it'd be really cool. I do however hope the Spino has at least got a neck.

Honestly, having a slightly smaller dinosaur roster might be a more sensible choice to ensure a balance of human character development and giving each species their time to shine. One dinosaur I hope gets confirmed to return is Triceratops, because it's been strangely shafted in the animated spin-offs and has been mostly a background dino for the World trilogy. Its breakout scene in The Lost World remains unbeaten for Ceratopsian action.

There is indeed no practical reason to bring in mutants. You see, the problem with those is that even though they do exist irl they usually don’t survive to adulthood. If they did we would see way more living specimen of those in modern animals. How are dinosaurs any different? Using such an idea only exists for the sake of cheap shock factor. At least the Indominus and Indoraptor had an excuse. Whereas here with the rumored multi-armed “Cloverfield-monster-rex”? I literally see no point.

I'm overall kinda happy with the list of dinosaurs except for Titanosaurus. They lowkey added the worst Sauropod possible in as the biggest dinosaur in the franchise. First it's dubious which wouldn't really matter, the problem is in irl, Titanosaurus is actually on the smaller size of Sauropods. It's actually one of the smallest Sauropods around and it might get a much bigger size buffed than Velociraptor, Atrociraptor and Mosasaurus. I really hoped they would've added Alamosaurus since it's kinda canon since the fossils of the Sauropod in Jurassic park is Alamosaurus. There still a lot other dinosaurs to choose from like Patagotitan, Argentinosaurus and Bruhathkayosaurus, you know actual dinosaurs that might dwarf Rebirth Titanosaurus especially Bruhathkayosaurus with it's 120- 180 ton mass. And now all the shitty educational will try to confince an already dumb generation that a small ass dubious Sauropod is the largest dinosaur.

I'm a little mixed on the new species . My issue with Titanosaurus and Aquilops is that we already have Dreadnoughtus and Microceratus, it feels weird not to reuse those since they're so similar. I'm glad to see Quetzalcoatlus return though, it was the one animal in Dominion I think had the most missing potential. Here's to hoping they do the giant hornbill justice!

Yessss, whatever the design, those meat-eating dinosaurs are all the stuff of nightmares, but nonetheless, exciting edge of seat prehistoric beasties that i am pleased have all died out. I'm looking forward to the release of this next movie with all the stars together throughout different parts of the movie. Of course, no one knows what the dinosaurs really looked like and, more importantly, sounded like but put some muscle on those skeleton bones and some scaley skin like amphibians have today and heypresto, we have a pretty good guess and omg are they beautifully intimidating and marvellous to watch on the big screen or a big tv set "thank God for digital and HDMI" and it's curl up on the edge of your settee or favourite arm chair. Oh, and by the way, a nice presentation and shush mum the word with the dinos on this next movie. I have recently seen photos of all the actors in these movies, and they all look remarkably well, especially from the first movie. Anyway, roll on this summer, to be afraid, very afraid raarrrr! 😂 Ps. And now I am about to sit back and watch a documentary all about the Tarbosaurus: and we all thought that the T.Rex was bad. Really don't get changing the Quetzalcoatlus design. It's good as it is, and it doesn't sit right with me that they're trying to make it what it's not (a hornbill). Don't get me wrong, inspiration in terms of initially making a design is fine...but then changing a design to explicitly try and *be* more like its inspiration doesn't sit right with me when said inspiration isn't the actual thing itself. That's just my two cents though.

I feel like we haven't seen any dinosaurs yet is because there will be no animatronics so theres no on set photos to see. This movie was rushed from getting a director, a cast, filming it and releasing it all in about a year. I doubt they spent any time making good animatronics... I'm worried the dinosaurs will be all cgi being added later so theres no images to show. We saw one photo of a parasaurolophus last year that was apparently from the set of rebirth, but honestly it was either a photo from dominion or they are just reusing the animatronic head from dominion as it was the exact same...

It could be a different Mosasaurus individual, and therefore wouldn’t be a retcon. Honestly I prefer the redesign being as it looks more like it’s descended from ancient monitor lizards and not just big aquatic crocodile. (Mosasaurs are Squamates that are most closely related to monitor lizards or snakes. Crocodilians are Archosaurs and are most closely related to birds and other Dinosaurs) The redesigns in general don’t have to be retcons if they’re not the same individuals.

Yeah......not going to lie, that Spino isn't doing it. Spinosaurus is (and has been for 20 years) my favorite dinosaur. Due in large part to the JP3 design, as I'm sure a lot of people are fans of the Rex for Rexie. I'm not against some tweaks, akin to what the JP3 Raptors did to the OG design there. But *that* thing? Really? Look. Everyone knows that the JP dinos aren't going to be paleoaccurate. Compare Rexie to what the consensus on an actual Rex is. But we don't see such drastic redesigns there, because the JP Rex or the JP Raptor is firmly established and aside from little tweaks, are *totally fine*. Why does the Spino, especially after Camp Cretaceous showed functionally the same design, need to be so DRASTICALLY changed? You have a perfectly fine design, just maybe tweak it. You're losing what made the JP3 Spino special. I suppose if this thing is destined to lose to a Rex to appease fanboys still angry after 2 decades, at least it isn't the Spino I grew up with.

The CC Spino was the same individual Spinosaurus though, would be odd to look different. The Spino of JP3 *was* relatively paleo accurate to the time period the movie came out, same is true for most if not all of the JP animal designs. Rex is still very accurate considering it's a 30-year-old design. People that dislike paleo accuracy in JP designs forget that JP was some of the most paleo accurate dinosaur media when it came out. Retro designs are a JW philosophy that is the exact opposite of what JP stood for when it first came out (bringing real "living" dinosaurs to the masses). What makes Spinosaurus special is the real-life animal, not a Jurassic Park movie. I do agree that the neck design choice is odd though.

Why would they change the Spinosaurus design to be more paleo accurate? That's something I don't believe will happen. Since the Spinosaurus design in JP3 was established to be accurate and the real thing in its universe. Just like the raptors that are pretty much the same design from the original JP with only a slight few changes, but still accurate to the movie design. Hence why we see the fossils of the raptors in JP and JP3 at the dig sites. The same thing can be said for Spinosaurus. Changing the design would literally break canon and become a massive retcon in the lore. If you going to change Spinosaurus, just change the colour with a different skin.

@ the INGen dinosaur is a monster, not the real dinosaur. you have to understand that animals have to be modified in order to be included in an Azione and Sci-fi film (if you want real dinosaurs there is the prehistoric planet)

Hard disagree about the number of returning species...I'd much rather see previously introduced animals get the screentime they deserve, rather than have them swapped out with something new in every movie. I think the Mosa was very underutilized in the World movies (Dominion especially) and I think we can all agree the Quetz was very underutilized in Dominion. Dominion really just introduced more animals than it knew what to do with, and I hope Rebirth and any following sequels go back to those species that only had glorified cameos and give them some more screentime, like Pyroraptor, Dimetrodon, Oviraptor, Iguanodon, so on and so on.
