I grew up with the original Wild Rivers wipe out and Cobra were my 2 favorites I also loved Bombay blasters, Switzer falls, Congo River rapids, and The abyss. I Remember later on they had the Patriot and the bazooka bowls which were both pretty cool as well. Whenever I eat dip & dots it always takes me back to wild rivers and simpler times

I always loved the original Wild Rivers because of the tropical setting with tons of lush foliage around. Hopefully they incorporate some of that eventually. Looks like you had fun!

Aqua coasters are fun. I went on one at Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels TX. That's a pretty awesome water park. Also I lived in Irvine as a kid back in the 80s. It's kinda cool seeing what would be my home park if I would have stayed in CA.

Before the video started I got an Ad for my local water park. Fun fact it is called *Raging Waters* sad to say it is not all like the *Raging Waters* in San Dimas. BTW how water park are there now in Southern California (Hurricane Harbor - MM, Soak City - KBF, Raging Waters, San Dimas - Wild Rivers, Irvine - Great Wolf Lodge, Garden Grove); did miss I any?

We're in a very serious and major drought, people are taking 2 minute showers and letting their grass dry up and then they reopen a water park wasting over 150,000 gallons of water a day. Genius -_-

Ya. It honestly doesn't look like there's nearly as much to it as the original wild rivers. Looks like there's a handful of pretty short slides, a wave pool, and a kids area. Of course, I'd have to go for myself lol

Fun fact; my family actually owned the old version of Wildrivers next to the amphitheater. The original name was going to be Splash, but because of the Splash movie (1984) with Tom Hanks, we were advised to come up with another name…

Please understand that my family loves the water parks but WTF! We are in a major drought where farmers can’t get enough water; here in central CA where the food is grown we are on water restrictions. We are told that SoCal need to get our water via canals for agriculture but we keep seeing pools & parks in SoCal without restrictions.

@@reyarya Yes my friend, once they fill up with water from the canal and refill from evaporation, the pool water is filtered and recycled. But that is still hundreds of gallons of water that bypasses agricultural use. Thank you for your thoughtfulness 😅
