In Belgium, zipping is only obligatory when speeds are low (= traffic jam). In this case (at higher speeds), the car merging has to come to a complete stop if he has no space to merge. Mat 31 is in his complete right. The car merging is an idiot to force his way through.

Haben sich beide bescheuert verhalten. Der andere Fahrer sowieso, aber der Dashcamer ebenfalls schon alleine weil er darauf eingeht. Ich würde einfach normal weiterfahren als wäre nichts gewesen, der Typ ist offensichtlich ohnehin nicht fähig einen eigenen Fehler zu begreifen. Einfach Kopf schütteln und in Ruhe weiterfahren, damit wäre generell in vielen Situationen die man hier sieht allen Beteiligten am besten geholfen ;)

Hey. Ich bin der Fahrer von dem Auto mit der Kamera. Hatte das Fernlicht wieder ausgemacht, als der Schnitt kommt. Damit war die Sache für mich mehr oder weniger auch vom Tisch. Ja, das mit dem drauf eingehen ist so eine Sache. Der Typ hing mir seit 5 Minuten bei Tempo 60 innerorts wenige Meter hinten drin. Das geht einem irgendwo dann doch auf den Keks.

Immer so viele vermeidbare Situationen wenn Leute einfach nur ein ganz kleines bisschen Vorausschauender fahren würden.Geht man halt mal kurz etwas vom Gas und lässt den anderen noch rein oder fährt man halt mal ein paar Meter etwas zu langsam hinter einem her. Dafür spart man sich viel Stress und Aufregung :D

Der Benz Fahrer bei 8:30 war ja eigentlich vergleichsweise freundlich, hatte schon nen Agressiven Typen erwartet. Dauerhaft Fernlicht und Lichthupe hilft der Sache auch nich wirklich.

Schon klar aber par mal Lichthupe reicht dann auch, ein Stück ist ja rausgeschnitten und wenn dort dauerhaft Lichthupe / Fernlicht an war ist das eher kontraproduktiv. Der Typ war jetzt nicht einsichtig, hätte aber auch einfach jemand sein können der sich stark verschätzt hat und den Fehler einsieht. Dann Minuten lang geblendet zu werden ist vielleicht auch nicht so toll.

I wonder how the rules for mergin lanes works in the rest of the world. Where i live, when 2 lanes merge or in the onramp to the motorway, the car that is in front has the right of way. You act like you own the road. at 2:20 -you had to let him in, as his lane is ending. at 2:43 you drive extra to the left to make space close at 2:50 you steer again to the left and touched him at 3:02 you changed extra to the left lane, to block the other car out of the road and sit yourself into the blind spot

So if you're merging, you have a fucking priority, and at 2:43 the dash-cam is usually on the right so that it doesn't bother you, there is actually a lot more space than you think.

if you look at 2:20, the van is already in front of him at start of the video. and at 2:45 you actuall can see that he is starting at 2:43 steering to the left, just watch the line on the left side in this video (its the right full line relative to the car. its climbing upwards in the video. also watch the the left line in relation to the engine hood. you can clearly see it on the video that it shows up left from the front light at 2:43 and ends up right infront of the front light in 2:45. This is regardless if the bmw isnt allowed to overtake at this position. mat31 increased the risk of an accident for sure by more 100%, for closing the space. I guess he does it, to make it look more close for the video material. Its more intellegent to make space to avoid an accident, instead of bringing yourself in danger for an accident. I dont wanna defend this cunt bmw driver, its was a really danerous action, but mat made it even more dangerous.

catman64k like I said, the dashcam makes it so you don't actually see the whole car an makes the car actually wider than what it actually looks like. besides, according to your logic, we are supposed to not stay in our lanes and move to the side when merging. Even though the car that is merging can slow down. Mat was already in front of the BMW who is going way over the speed limit. Mat puts the speed-limit in the bottom left, we can see that Mat is going at 87km/h, so that means the BMW is and was already going too fast, meaning the BMW driver should've slowed down instead of speeding.

This is not my point. For sure the bmw was way to fast and overtake in the security stripe. Which is obvious extremely dangerous. There is no discussion about it. To bring it to a point: the BMW is to 90% guilty if a accident would have happened and mat to 10%. The BMW was supposed to merge behind mat, instead of speeding up. But at the point, when mat started to notice, that the BMW wanna already overtake, he drove to the left. which increased the risk of an accident even further. Well, you are not supposed do provocate an accident, even if the other car is braking the traffic rules already.
