On the bright side Niall got rid of a useless organ that could cause serious pain and/or death later in his life, so at least he got that going for him. But if I was him I would not tell his parents for maybe like another 10-20 years(for a good story/laugh) because maybe his parents had to pay thousands of dollars for that “emergency” surgery.

Haha he went the easy path. I went the stent route, which didn't work, so then they had to use a camera with a laser on it to shoot it, then it was removed by them through my dick, then I had to KEEP the stent in (It had a string hanging out of my dick and went from the kidney to bladder) for a week, before I had to go in to get it removed. They don't remove it while you're under. It's super lubed up so they just lie you on a table, tell you to brace yourself, and pull all 12 inches of it out like a ripcord to a motor. It feels like you piss and cum at the same time and then you feel really empty. Then you're done.

My doctor thought I had appendicitis as well as all my symptoms seemed to suggest. They gave me x-rays to be sure that I did. I had an extraordinarily large amount of poop in me, such a large amount the doctor said she had never seen anything of the sort before and that it was medically fascinating. Moral of the story don't get addicted to opiates cause you can't poop much. I still have a lot of poop in me. I can only poop like twice a week tops.

its hard to tell sometimes, especially with a surgery that takes 30 minutes in a operating room that is trying to fit in 12 surgeries per day (at least). With something like an appendix or gall-bladder, its better to just take it out instead of second guessing and leaving it in there. If it *was* infected it could rupture later and possibly kill him

Worst part for me was the unbearable stomach pain while sitting in a car for 25 minutes then waiting in a room for like another hour almost. I just wanted them to knock me out but they were just wandering around doing things. It was so bad. Also the tube in my stomach and my inability to walk after surgery was shit too.

I had a kidney stone pretty recently. It started as an aching in my left testicle, which started to get progressively worse every half hour - I hopped off a groupchat and tried to lie down but the pain kept getting sharper. I had a little bowl of oatmeal because i hadn't eaten all day and I thought it would calm me down/help me rest Well, within an hour the pain came in a wave that was so bad i ended up puking up the food I just ate, and the pounding pain was both in my balls and in my gut. I was afraid I had testicular torsion (i figured it was that or a kidney stone). The waves of pain were so bad at this point I was pounding my bed with my fists and screaming into my pillow. After I vomited everything out I drove myself to the ER. Turned out it was one 2-3 mm kidney stone, and they gave me fluids and low dose oxy to help me pass it. It took about 3 days total i think. My dad has had 3 or 4 of them so I guess I can only expect more in my future ALSO: It sounds like Niall had a Resident who just wasn't sure what he should do

It's possible he dressed himself. When you get surgery they put you in a room with someone who sits near you to make sure you don't hurt yourself as you wake up. Thing is though the first time you remember waking up isn't the first time you wake up. I have no idea what kind of insane shit i did or said when I had surgery

I had my appendix removed when i was about 6-7 and i was given a morphine iv drip thing. HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK A DOODLE DOO that shit was sooooo fucking amazing (better than oxycontin which is what jeff took for his kidney pain and it is so much more addicting). this was pure BLISS no exaggeration whatsoever, and i ended up getting a pretty bad infection after having my appendix removed so i was in the hospital for about 2 and a half months taking that shit. (Granted it was only for the first month and then constant episodes of spongebob and icarly.) Problem is that when i got an infection they gave me tetracycline and doxycycline (or just one of the two i cant remember) and that shit turned my teeth into a pale yellow which isnt noticeable until i point it out.
