The most of the kids from the french antilles with foreign parents (i believe his parents are from Haiti) speaks several languages. My kids speak portuguese, french, english and spanish and now that they are studing in Metropolitan France they learning germany and chinese. You dont have any child here in the Caribbean that speaks less than 3 languages, they are all multilingual.
