My soft topper has been leaking a lot, not only condensation, but rain has been starting to easily leak through too, it is from “Besttop” though

I’m going to drop a bead of this stuff in the top cross seam and should seal that up. It will never be water tight but I don't want the dripping down from above. amzn.to/3ZBhAxe

I had two retrax covers and they were great but pricey I finally got a ARE topper with interior lights and the racks on top. Very happy with it but they are pricey also. I just can't have an uncovered bed because theft is a huge problem plus keeping stuff dry. We think alike. I worry about freezing in the vehicle. I don't let the fuel get below a quarter tank either. I have sat on the interstate for a long time due to a fatal crash ahead. You can easily run out of fuel idling. I think I have finally trained my wife to keep her car fueled properly. Also to have cash on hand.

The cash on hand is a great point as well! Thanks for adding that! I’d love a fiberglass or contractor topper but I still use that truck on occasion to pull the gooseneck trailer. Thank you for sharing your ideas!

Retrax is like the bees knees of bed covers! Your new topper sounds very nice, I used to have one on my dodge before the flatbed with a rack and awning, it was great for truck camping.

Tonneau covers are ridiculously expensive.

Yeah they are! That $190 one lasted a good while though. Anything more than that though is through the roof $$

When the weather warms up I’m going to drop a bead of seam sealant in the top seam to keep it a little more water resistant. This is the stuff I bought to try. amzn.to/3XzmyZG
