I did a modification to move this pump and filter away from the pool to avoid accidents and tripping hazards.
In this video, Im going to show how to assemble the Bestway Costco pool sand filter and pump.

Super helpful. I have been thinking about how to relocate the solar heater pad and was unsure about pressure of the pump and having it elevated but this cleared up all my concerns before attempting to build a shelf and spending the money on it. Thank you very much! Also, I grew up with an inground pool and for some reason I was thinking I had to get only the ribbed type pipes and didn't even think about connecting them to PVC like I used to have in my old pool.

Great video matey. Make sure you keep them up, good quality, nice clear speach and very detailed. I have the same filer, its great and find it works a lot better with better flow and ease using the filter balls. There's not really any videos on this filter I found.

Hi thank you. Should be around 90percent. You can try to release some air by slowly unscrewing the cover.

I would highly recommend that if you’re talking about start of the season. And I think they recommend doing it like once a month( double check). But if you’re talking about just everyday on and off then no.

Thanks. Yes it is a female to male of solar pad. I think it was a 2” pvc adapter.

On the two pump b valves I see that you took those covers off from inside the pool does that allow the hoses to suck in water?

Yes. On the pool itself, those B Ports are not really valves. They're just holes in the side of the pool. Unplugging them allows water down the hoses by gravity.

I notice that I can’t screw the flanges all the way together…I’ve seen other videos and it was the same way just tight enough but it the two flange doest screw all the way together until touching. I hope this helps

Do you happen to know what to do if the filter basket has air in it ? The return jet seems to be very low pressure and I don’t know how to fix it

Turn off the pump and loosen the basket cap slightly without taking it off. You’ll see air leave and may have some water fill up and leak out of the cap so at the point when most of the air is let out, tighten the cap. Hopefully that helps.
