This was a super personality even before he left high school, I met him at a benefit softball game in 1972.But I remember meeting dear sweeter than sweet mother in Angott records in 1994...she was so personable everytime,I purchased many cd's from her popular'Simpson's record store as well,I referred to her as momma Simpson lol..out Of absolute respect.I found several years ago upon visiting she has retired and closed up shop.Much respect to both!

You know, Video Soul was one of the first shows I've ever watched on BET following the year I was born in 1989. But the last time I ever watched it was around 1995 or 96. And because everything changing so fast as I was going to school, I was not aware of it being off the air...until the internet emerged. Nevertheless, I am glad to see that Video Soul, which has been a part of my earliest childhood, is back with Donnie Simpson at the helm!
