Just to add some perspective, it’s been widely known by competitors that the rope gets held tight for years now. It definitely changes how you climb, but I know I (and many other competitors) trained for the rope to be held tight. I believe they also told us that during rules that they would hold it after we reached 20ft, but don’t quote me on that. Super cool video/observation, it’s awesome to see people noticing the small things like this that make a pretty big difference haha
