Love the progress, been following since the beginning. To be honest, I am a little adverse to having the purchases open during a beta that will wipe. Even with the offer of it carrying over some currency to the official launch. If you want us to experience the opening of shards and such, you could just give the beta players some shards? You can still show/tell us how much things are going to cost. But this is just my opinion. The way I see it is, Beta testers we are unpaid volunteering our time to playtest your game. An extension of quality assurance testers. We are doing it for 'free' because we want to help inform you of bugs and provide critical feedback that you cant get from a small inhouse QA team. I was hoping that in exchange we could get some resources to play-test with before having to open our wallets. Once again, this is just my opinion and may differ from others. I am still excited either way and want to contribute feedback if I am selected as a beta tester.

Another game dropped at the end of last year that had a month of play testing before global/mobile launch. As someone who did not take part in the testing, when I hit arena and even clan content with those mature accounts, I quit for a week or two until some OddOne videos pulled me back in. I recommend starting everyone back at zero day one except for cosmetics or maybe a play test hero or two (like Robinhood!).

OMG! "Beta news" on the thumbnail sent me through the roof! I've come back down now and can say 1st I want that rare and 2nd about beta spending, I think should be avoided. As it is beta for testing I don't see how spending will help in the aspect of testing available playability. I may be wrong but to me I would think the focus should be 100% on the playability. If worried about "shard" pull experience then simply give all beta testers a fixed number of each variety to start with. Just my 2 cents worth, excited for you, the team and the game either way.

Love this idea for progression and spending. Reset is needed, and a cool incentive to spend during the beta is a great idea. As to another point you made: people "quitting" during beta will not just be because I got bored or something. Keep in mind, that its not that i get bored, lll likely just stop playing once I feel like ive done what i wanna do with a looming reset. What would be cool and would keep me logging: extra rewards for playing "x" days in beta. Or reaching certain dungeons etc... that would keep me playing.

Couple thoughts on the Beta: 1. Definitely needs to be reset, but since it's being reset, instead of enabling spending, you should just give participants tons of resources. The whole point is to test and and try it out. Just give everyone several hundred pulls. You shouldn't have to grind to start the beta. 2. Giving participants some shards/resources once it launches would be cool. It would also be nice to get something cosmetic for being in the beta. For example, Diablo 4 gave people a unique pet. Doesn't affect competitive balance, it's just a nice little trophy to show off. Don't know what kind of cosmetics the game will have, but something like that would be cool.

@ I don’t mean unlimited, and it can be staggered over time. I get your point, but also you want as much stuff tested as possible. If it’s too much of a grind, people won’t push knowing it’s going to be reset.

For beta, having the unavailable content locked would be interesting, so people do get a scope of the whole launch game and not just an impression of "it's only that". Especially for people used to early access beta and less with testing beta.

I like the idea of increased currency reward in real game if you spend during beta. However, I would want a straight credit that I can choose to spend on what I want rather than being given pre-chosen game resources of that value.

Thank you for this incredible update with your amazing team’s work. I am already following and signed up for the beta trials. I am glad that you explained the reset that will happen with the beta to officially launch, because I am excited and I am a spender. I probably will spend in beta testing and full game release. I don’t mind paying for my own entertainment. The known heroes look great and I feel like I have been hooked on GODFORGE since your first announcement.

I'm looking forward to your game launch. After about 4 years, I stepped away from Raid. I got really tired of pulling shards and only getting dupe champs. I couldn't progress anymore because I couldn't get the champs needed in order to progress. Hopefully you will have a much better shard pulling system.

Cut scene animation looked great, rare looked great. If you allow spending in BETA, which i think is fine then yeah just give us back ingame currency that reflects what was spent. Make sure there is big red letters saying "real money wont be returned and account will be getting reset", as some people just dont get it, no matter how many times you say it prior 😂😂

The idea to reward players that support the developers by giving them an addition % of what they spend during the beta is good i think, but i have 1 doubt in mind, only few people will be able to play the beta so it does not seem alright if they are the only ones who are rewarded by supporting the game, i think if your idea is to do another test close to the launch (with alot of people in) and also give them the opportunity to be rewarded just like the guys during the beta then i think it could be a good idea, if not then i feel like its an injustice towards people who want to support the game but didn't get the invite to join the beta

HH, great work as always, Can you please add reminders features in your game? I always plan to do something with a hero in Raid and when the time comes (free gear removal, or CvC and time to book) I always forget to do it. Just a QoL that maybe useful. As long as PVP is not required for players to advance in the game, that's fine. PVP should be a side game for those who want to play in it and not a requirement for all players, given that barely 10% of players across all games, are really interested in that part of the game.

I would not give exclusive beta rewards if getting into beta is random, this includes the option to spend. A lot of people that might have been here since the start might not get in and will miss out on these cool rewards

There shouldn't be any carry over from Beta/Testing into the actual Launch. However, when you let people spend they should certainly have those funds carry over into the full launch but don't lock them into what they have to spend it on. If someone spends $100 bucks then maybe they get $110 store credit to be spent when/where they want any time after launch.

I really like this idea overall but offer one consideration-Instead of offering a bonus on top of a 1:1 credit after the reset, consider providing skins, badge or some other non-team-boosting reward. As an experience bonus, players who spend will appreciate gaining a clearer understanding of how their spending impacts account progression and make more informed choices about how they spend after reset.

One of my biggest frustrations with Raid is the silver economy. It seems like I’m always short on silver and can’t build the champs that I’ve gotten. It’s so cost prohibitive to test out new champs and strategies.

I think it was designed around farming silver and utilising it in a smart way. When I quit playing a couple of years ago, I was always floating at around 200M silver, despite constantly spending on gear upgrades, champions > food etc.

Open beta: Full reset; everyone starts on equal footing. Early access: Polished game but pre-release and everyone who participates can spend and gets to keep everything. Guan Yu wielding a guandao. ^^

Words cannot express how excited I am for this game. I Personally think in the Beta no need to put any spending when specifically testing the game. But i do think testers that give good feedback and provide progression to the game should be rewarded. Thats my hot take on it. Since it be one of those, people will moan that Beta Spenders are having a huge advantage on launch compared to others. Beta Can't Come SOONER!

I see some people are opposed to people spending during the beta, however i dont see any issue with it. If everything is reset and they have the ingame currency they spent in beta at launch its the same as them just spending at launch, no real difference so why not let those that wish to spend have some fun testing things.

They will want it to be better than raid in every way and anything that is not significantly better will be slammed by these people. Honestly though, I will be playing to support this initiative, good or bad. I trust that you will try to make things better over time.

A character well known and beloved like Guan Yu is a missed opportunity to not make him legendary. He is going to make a profitable shard event for sure. Unless you’re planning to do different versions of him like supreme Guan Yu or something like that.

If I bought shards to pull champions - then got reset for live . Well I would at least like to start the live with the same amount of shards that I bought in Beta test. Now I realize the results of pulling those shards will be different than the first time be it better or worse = rng is rng

I am sorry but the character body proportions look good on the concept art but doesn't translate well on the 3d model ... many of your characters look like midgets or just like chibis for example king arthur or the character shown after it both look like they have small torso which doesn't make them feel grand or anything but they look funny ... everything else looks good but the proportions are off, IMO a bit more longer models would look aesthetically pleasant
