Turn 6 for me would be an empty lane play of Wong, mjolnir, stormbreaker, AND grandmaster. Double activtations of the hammer/axe due to Wong, grandmaster also triggers twice, so he moves both of them to mid to activate a third time each. Over kill, and needing the perfect hand for turns 3-6, but when it happens it going to be an amazing feeling.

Most hyped card my whole time playing he’s one of my favourite characters and even tho I’m not the biggest fan of Thor decks I’m becoming a main of them just cuz I love this card that much even got GM and hit monkey just in the case they are good in his decks lmao

I’m definitely trying a Hit-Monkey build myself. I really enjoyed the Thor/ Hit-Monkey there for a second and adding Beta Ray Bill might just make that deck a little better.

Can use lockjaw, cycle like you said. But can also throw grandmaster into the lockjaw lane to push out one of the hammers and also send it into a cycle

It might not look great at the moment but I remember there was a time where Thor Lockjaw was a top deck contending with not yet nerfed Shuri. That was pre nerf lockjaw too but I don't think we can sleep on a card with that much face up power. Blob turned out to be a way bigger problem than first thought and I think BRB might too. Obviously for a scant few deck types but we'll see! Gotta try and pick him up especially with how good that Galactus variant is!

I remember trying to splash in Thor and Jane Foster into a typical zabu darkhawk deck and it working out pretty well. I think even in dedicated builds for beta ray bill he'll be good but now the Jane Foster Thor bill package might actually be viable to run in a deck that wants a lot of four-cost cards.

Im thinking of throwing the combo in with zabu, iron lad, and wong. Maybe Magick for the additional turn. Could even do a combo deck of the Asgard truo and the Anihilus package and a few tech cards thrown in. BRBs one of my all time favorite Marvel chsracters so just looking forward to using him in the game. Nice straight forward card.

Really works well with zabu and grandmaster type decks. Zabu turn 2 into Beta or thor. Wong into Jane Foster gets the breaker, Thor hammer or both if you run them, then t6 go vertical. Can copy with absorbing man and grandmaster or Odin.

looking forward to Bill's spotlight week, don't have any of the cards and I should have enough spotlight keys for the entire week. That being said I'm hoping that I only get Elsa and Galactus cause given what's coming in March in terms of new cards and variants I'm gonna need all the spotlight keys I can get.

I would add 2 more Counters to BRB. 1st is the card everyone loves, Leech. If you Jane on Turn 5 and draw Stormbreaker, Leech makes it useless. You need to draw Stormbreaker on Turn 6 or 7(if you play Magik) to not get countered by Leech. 2nd i would add the Rock dudes, Korg and Rock Slide, making it harder to draw either BRB himself or Stormbreaker without Jane Foster.Its not a direct counter of course. Also a delightful character in comics. He is stronger than Thor but cursed with a horse face he took to save his people. There's a panel from his great solo series I think 2022 where Lady Sif is undressed and says "okay so change your face into it's human form." And she walked out on him since he couldn't and it made him cry.

This might not be the best card but im excited for it. I cant wait to dust off my old shenaught deck and toss this in it. I really like how the Asgardian cards have synergies with eachother, the guardians sort of have that as well. They dont really do that with other factions.

Forge + Bill gives you a 16 power Bill if you have magik for the extra turn and Jane to pull the hammer. If you also use zola you basically get the black panther combo but with potential for more power with wong + hammer in another lane

I'm torn. He feels like a fun time. I'm about to hit my 3rd key for reserve after spending 3 on Loki, Hit Monkey and Grandmaster last week, but at the same time there's much coming in Feb and March I'd also like to get. Maybe I'll use one and gamble on either Ray or Galactus since I don't have either. I'll see how I feel towards the end of the week after he's been out.

i think Beta Ray Bill will be better than OG Thor because he has more support (Zabu for one) and also unlike OG Thor, he doubles his power not only gaining 6, which while that seems like it would be the same thing, Bill can be buffed before the double to get more out of his "Quest" going correct.

I've decided to pick up Grandmaster. You aren't wrong that he seems to be pretty overrated. But as someone who loves Junk and Affliction among some other decks... a very cheap Absorbing Man seems like it will have its uses. Even if its just getting two Scorpion triggers. I'm gonna skip Beta Ray Bill for now. He does seem fun. Eventually I may try and get him for a Thor deck.. but I'm not loving decks that rely on card draw RNG. There is already too much RNG in the game to begin with. These cards would be better if they added the weapons to your hand. But then I suppose Jane Foster would be useless. I'm probably going to skip the rest of the cards until March. Pixie, Cannonball and War Machine (maybe Mockingbird) I have great interest in. But as for Grandmaster, like I said.. I guarantee he will become more useful the more cards that get added. He has the same ability theme as Absorbing Man or Odin, only he is a 2 cost. I do think he deserves to have some amount of power to him though. But it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up in a deck that really benefits from him eventually.

That would be a 24 power beta ray bill and a 16 power thor with odin. Ofc theres Jane and Odin stats aswell so another 16. Not awful but theres a lot of decks that bring more stats. Combined with the fact that you won't get this every game I don't think it'll be that good. Without odin the stats are even lower. Like it sounds cool but if you think about it, it seems mediocre.

Why is this even called Snap or Pass? He’s right tho, this is a pass. Probably gonna be decent to good, but it’s also super niche. Grandmaster seems better to me, these Sera/Wave turn 5 into 6 drop and GM on turn 6 is pretty nuts, especially comparably to Beta Ray Bill. Bill is a dope character tho, but this is just a super Thor. I agree that March looks like the power month, next month is good for discard. I worry Super Giant is going to be annoying.

It’s just a title for this series. Snap ‘buy’ or pass. Point of the series is to supply viewers with as much info as I can put together about upcoming cards so that they can make that decision themselves. This card is definitely gonna get nerfed lmao. I can't help but compare it to Black Panther. Black Panther is a 5/4. Beta Ray Bill is a 4/6!! I get that BP is more straightforward, but it's usually not super difficult to draw Mjolnir. And I imagine it's gonna be the same way with Stormbreaker. And even then, there's always Jane Foster to guarantee getting Stormbreaker. Let's just do this as an example. BRB+Jane Foster would be a 9/21 across the board. Black Panther+Wong would be a 9/18 across the board. So, the BRB+JF combo is (almost) always better than the BP+Wong combo! (When only factoring those two card combos and not Arnim Zola or Odin shenanigans)
