The first story, or maybe the overall story of the season might be a sky version of the re-telling of the invisible girl's story/Ninny, seeing how it mimics episode 9 of Moomin's 90's quite closely, just cutting things brief and to the point. Adding the extra "creepiness" cutscene will probably enhance and relate players with similar experiences like Ninny. The black and white filter is probably intentional to make the story more gloomy in its looks, and capturing a feeling of being frightened. I have a hunch that the colors will emerge at the finalé for a more impactfull emotional connection. The Moomin's 90's episodes can be watched here on youtube so if anybody wants to go watch, you can :]

Short, basic answer: This is beta testing for the next upcoming season, so that’s a special outfit they’re adding as one of the seasonal reward items. Nasty did a video recently looking at some of the cosmetics added for testing, where you can get a closer look at it. Longer, more technical answer: It’s not anything we’ve really seen in Sky before, far as I know. There’s been transparent items (like the fish cape from Days of Nature event), but I guess since skykids already have a specific base design with it’s own texture, they couldn’t just make skykids be transparent like the capes, the model would just show through. Looks like what they’re doing is an overlay of a different colour onto the model, which they’ve done before with some cosmetics to change the colour of skykids (ex. Days of Rainbow’s dark rainbow pants darken the colour of your skykid). Instead of overlaying a solid colour though, the invisible pants sort of “colour-pick” from the background to make it appear as if you’re invisible, by applying the colour to your skykid’s model overlay. It’s the same sort of function used for the eye dropper tool in art programs, or photo-to-pixel art generators and such. Sorry, this all probably sounds like me rambling. Hopefully it maybe explained things a little bit at least.
