It's not like they can't have a non-majority language speaker, they had someone speaking Marathi once I think and they've always considered if the language is meant to throw them off (they over considered that here by going Poland somehow). I think it's actually possible they could have got it without randomly guessing because it's generally known that many ex Soviet countries besides Russia speak Russian like Ukraine or Uzbekistan, but given her name doesn't seem like a Russian spelling but still European, they actually could have tried Latvia with good guessing, or asked a better question
