It's worth trying a failsafe switch instead, but for now I've turned the radio off.

It's great to see that it is working almost ok, despite the overwhelming number of settings that can confuse users. It flipped on landing, indicating a hard landing. Interestingly, the Ardupilot, which has been in existence for over a decade, flawlessly executes a return to home and landing without requiring the user to set many configuration parameters.

There may be something in what you write. But I think that if you know how to update firmware and then set up the quad in betaflight, the GPS rescue part might not be a problem. If something interests me ,I will read up and see other's experience. If someone is looking for a more precise or already well proven gps related solution there is inav or ardupilot(which I don't know and never used). Or there is a three letter consum drone. The quad bounced one because it landed on concrete and besides it only weighs 116g . I may refine this but I think it is a good thing that betaflight can do this now. For me it was a good experience to try this and others may find this feature useful. A simpler setup and a more detailed description (in the configurator) would be nice for me too ,but maybe it will be one day. ;)

hows your rssi dbm value? mine is also like this when i updated my crux35 to 4.5. On the previous version 4.3 the rssi dbm value doesn't drop like this.

At the bottom left is the rssi dbm , which varies from -56 to -130 in the video. I think it was the concrete that made the reading worse where I took off. As I got to the grassy area it went up ,then back down again on the way home. I'm not that deep into it, I'm just getting to know the world of the elrs. ;)

Small changes, like the descent speed, but I'll have to find out. It still descends a bit fast.

why do you use 16:9

I use a box goggle, I'm kind of used to 16:9. I also have a 4:3 camera, if I can buy one, because there is no other. But I prefer 16:9.

@@TargetFPV okay. I believe 16:9 crops the image vertically so you get less resolution.
