Bet Angel servants are a great way to improve your Betfair trading by automating common manual entry and exit procedures.

I tried this today in Practice (good job ) and what it does is instead of scratching the trade if it goes the wrong way the trade crashes throught the positiion and carries on many ticks before i realise and am able to act so overall I made quite a loss and cant see a way round this unless a seconday trigger is made to catch the trade if it misses the scratch trade in order to limit damage ?

You can build all sorts of extras onto the trade to make it more intelligent or manage your trade in a number of different ways. Also, it will work better in some markets than others. Check the forum to read to download something a bit more complex.

I don't really understand this. Say we have a back price of 4.9 and a Lay Price of 5.0 and click the servant. Back order will be placed at 5.0 (Best Mkt price +1 tick) and be unnmatched without movement upwards. If the price moves up one tick the order is filled and the new BF prices will be: Back 5.0 and Lay 5.1. The servant will detect the imbalace in matched bets and initiate a lay order at 5.0 (Best Mkt lay price -1) So we now have a matched Back bet at 5.0 and an unmatched Lay bet at 5.0. If the price drops one tick then the order is closed for zero profit. If the market moves up (without dropping back) then we have an open ended losing Back bet. HELP!!!

Is the trade scratch made easier with very fast fibre optic broadband? It would seem to me that this is a distinct possibility. All The Best.

Yes and no, Betfair cache data on their servers so even if you were stood next to one it doesn't mean you will get your position in first. But a decent connection is useful. Bet Angel can use streaming prices which are ten times faster than you get with some software so that will help also.

@betangeltv I am not sure if I am missing something here. I tried this earlier in practice mode and the price went against me. It didn't scratch though. I have followed the video and ensured that I got the same settings. Essentially this tactic should be completely risk-free right? Also had one attempt where there was a partial match (just 5p) and the lay bet still got placed, so not sure how to deal with that. I presume that you can probably put conditions on to stop this from occurring...??

this doenst work cause when the price goes against us and there is bunch of money coming in above the current price well we will not be matched and go minus and that mean taking a lose or letting it run until the price comes back which can mean it will not come back and keep costing us money and losing money :/ i wish u had a panic button or something inbedded in the servant so it force the bet to get matched so one can at least get out without a lose and wait for better price movement.

No, that's very unlikely. It would be quite a task to replicate it on other platforms.

Betangel--why has the servant closed out the markets when it went against the trade ? did you make a bot to do this and not show it in the video ?? or the servant just does this on its own anyway without making the bot in guardian-thanks in advance

It just put it back in at the next available position. So as it move one tick out it just put it back in at that price.

Is it possible to get an automation script that will do trading for me on events that I select during the day? I am totally new to this and still learning and using the Betdaq free version of BetAngel and so far have been hemorrhaging money due to my lack of knowledge.

This thread is really confusing me. Does this specific servant set up by Peter stop you losing money on a trade or not? Apologies for being so blunt, but people on this thread are pointing out that they are losing money.

It's an example of how to use automation, it's not a make money and never get a loss miracle bot. You should expect losses when trading. This will help you manage a position and minimise losses. Check out the other examples on the forum.
