You can see that Benny did care for Beth’s well being but Benny pushing her away at the end. It was rash and clearly a harsh thing to do so. Except they do complete each other and pushes the best of them out. I’ve said this before- and I’ll say it again. Benny and Beth needed more than one episode together 🤧

Sad there won't be a second season. Beth's story is one of the greatest, but they should make a second season about Benny's life. We barely know nothing about him! Like I'm pretty sure there's a story explaining why he always carries a knife or why this hat or this coat. I dont care about the book, in my head they end up together, because he's the only one who really understands and challenged her, the other guy was just cute but didn't meet her intelligence, he was able to get her to stop drinking and doing drugs without saying a single thing telling her not to. The only time he asked was "Do you always drink this much." and other than that he didn't say anything else (that I remember, i could be wrong). Until she lost her match and went home did he bring it up again showing that he clearly cared and knew she would do something she would regret and didn't want her to be alone.
