When we last saw Beth, she had just shot Rio as he was beating up Agent Turner. Now that he's out of the picture, she's ready to run the game and stay in control. The women take on seemingly innocent jobs - Beth in a stationary store, Ruby in a nail salon and Annie as a valet - each with a special purpose to aid them in their new criminal enterprise. What happens as they expand their operation will have a ripple effect with their families. Meanwhile, Stan's taken a job in security at a strip club and Dean is working sales at a spa company. From Executive Producer Jenna Bans ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal") comes the third season of this comedy-infused drama that mixes a little "Thelma & Louise" with a bit of "Breaking Bad." I think many of the fans are missing the mark when asking for Rio and Beth to become a 'power couple.' We have to remember that this show is about three women and their criminal persuits, alongside a backdrop of surburbia. So eventhough I love the tension between Rio and Beth, hurrying a relationship would ruin the show and wouldn't make sense at this point in time; Rio may like Beth but he isn't in love with her and still needed an 'incentive' to keep her alive. I want the writers to continue to build up this storyline and explore all aspects of the ladies lives, as well as Rio's.

I agree with you, but the show runner aren’t looking to expand Rio’s character. I feel like his acting skills whatever it is would overshadow the girls. But let’s be honest here, the only reason people watch is because of Rio’s authentic character. Nobody cares about suburban women trying to be criminals. Nobody would watch that. His character is multilayered. For some reason they don’t want to dig into him Beth is interesting but would she be who she is without him? I hope Manny gets his own show where he is the LEAD role. That man is truly talented. As long as he’s been in the industry, I’m surprised no one even approached him to have his own show I wonder why.

I don’t watch the show for Rio, I watch for all of them. Also, suburban women trying to be criminals is literally the premise of the show, hence the title ‘good girls.’ So if you’re not interested in this & want Rio to be the primary focus, you may as-well give up the show altogether. Suburbia & scandals always makes for an interesting storyline which is why ‘The desperate Housewives’ was such a hit. ‘Would she be who she is without him?’ - to this I say, would HE be who he is without her? All characters are important for the chemistry of the show, and I still have hope that we’ll delve more into Rio’s background.

I think Rio is proud of her for the first time since long time it's pretty good!!! It's one step since season 2 for Beth FINALLY for learning with rio and not against him (it was so not logic at all) !!!! Rio and Beth seems to be in the same side like season 2 !!!! I'm so happy because the show follows finally the logical path of the season 2 !!!! It's not a bad thing that Rio knows about the hitman. Because like he said in the season 2, "you can trust me ?" and she said like "oh no" and he said "it's good". It's the base of their relation. Fear and passion. It's positive , people love their relationship for that ;it's the danger but they don't want to admit when they are alone they are like obsessed with each other and they want to have trust in them . It's very paradoxal and we love them for that !!!

really can’t stand the one-sidedness of this whole thing with Beth and Rio anymore. He is always the one that gives, while Beth always wants to take him down... and she still does all of this to get Dean, the cheater released, I am just really annoyed with the showrunners. I love Rio on the show, but I would never characterise him as a 'giver.' He may not outwardly try to take Beth down, but his help always comes with a cost. He definitely doesn't willingly support her because even if he likes her, the money comes first (which we see in season 3 with the 'incentive' episode). Beth wanting to take Rio down, is a really good turn of events in my opinion and adds more to the show, because he's screwed her over a few times too. Neither of them are perfect, which makes their relationship so fun to watch. I think that before they work together, they have to be on an even playing field.

Rio decided to trust Beth because he realizes that she will do anything for her family, so he pushes her. Rio is trapped by his boss and every time the girls don't comply they put him at risk and when they involve other people. He is also trapped and Beth is his backup, the hitman said he belonged to an exclusive club, he plays tennis, he studies arts. Rio tries to lead another life and doesn't want her to hurt his plans. He is a gentleman, let her decide when. You can tell that he wants to touch her and he doesn't dare and he feels very jealous.

I honestly don’t think Rio knew about the hit man up until the moment he took him out. Because if you go back to the episode called opportunity from last season, where Beth thought the hit man went through with hit and Rio takes Beth to his car wash. Rarely does Rio ever ask Beth a question that he doesn’t already know the answer to. So in that scene he asked her multiple times...”where is the money going” so that makes me believe he really didn’t know about the hit man until this episode.

Rio is an awesome character for the show. But the way some of y’all describe him is ridiculous; as if Rio is always helping Beth and she’s just unappreciative. Yes, Beth has her annoying traits and should’ve listened to Rio on many occasions (like when he told her about her ‘rotten egg’) but he is far from perfect. His help often comes with a price & he has definitely played the ladies on multiple occasions, taking their ‘cut’ when they’ve been ignorant about certain things that he could’ve easily communicated. Beth hiring a hitman makes sense at this point in time, since they are under constant threat of being killed by Rio, who needed an incentive to keep Beth alive in the first place. Everything is coming full circle now that the ladies have decided to get some balls. I’m excited to see how the show progresses with all four of them.

Right on point. These 2 wont work out no matter how you look at it. Rio likes whoever brings him money. That's what beth is, someone that brings him money. When lucy became his printer, I realized he turned on the charm and called her his girl etc He doesnt deserve to die or go to prison but he deserves whatever is coming to him, from beth.

Seasons 1 and 2 have kept me in the game, but this show has gone downhill in Seasons 3 and 4. Why mess with what was working? I'm disappointed. I will give it a few more to see if they redeem themselves. I'm hoping they do.

There isn't going to be any Brio action this season. I believe Beth is supposed to meet Rio's boss soon. She'll see what's really at stake & realize if Rio is afraid if the boss she better be too. I have a feeling the boss is going to like Beth & the girls and favor her over Rio. This may allow Beth to have some control over Rio which will not go over well with him. So I suspect Beth & Rio will become rivals for the boss's approval. I love the sexual tension between Rio & Beth but I really hope Rio didn't do something foolish like fall in love with Beth. If so....he'll wind up dead. 😥

Beth better tread very VERY carefully after this last episode. Rio might actually just shoot her for real this time and attempt to kill her or any of her loved ones (her kids, Ruby, Stan, Annie or their families). Think about it: Rio has been in this business for years and years. He knows a lot of the tricks at this point. He knows now that she tried to kill him again. He’s not stupid. And do you think that after she already attempted to kill him twice that he’ll let that slide without inflicting some damage? Knocking on death’s door... 😬 I also don’t like that Beth didn’t discuss her plans about setting up Dave/Fitzgerald the shooter with her sisters. It almost like she completely disregarded what everyone else on her team wanted. But I guess she had to take care of this determined shooter had to go somehow. This whole situation with Rio feels it could go either way.
