Great reaction guys. Would love to see some Portishead on the channel, especially as Dummy reaches its 30th anniversary this year and the live Roseland album has just passed its 25th anniversary. Maybe some live versions of Strangers, Over or Only you is where to start.

A friend had this cd and didn't like it. He have it to me, and I love it. I like it much better than most of Portishead.

Hey Johnhawk. It always amazes me how popular Portishead music is - I genuinely love it - as it can be quite challenging. This album is more instant, but doesn't get the same love. Go figure. Cheers Jon.

I bought this album at the time and found it disappointing. I still found there wasn't enough going on musically to keep me entertained on listening to this for the first time probably since the year of release. I need a strong melody or something arresting to support such a minimal arrangement and it doesn't really do it for me.
