Can i use straight needles? For the 1st stitch, do i slip it purlwise or knitwise? For the last stitch, will it be a normal knit stitch. lastly would an icord work as a handle.?

I am getting ready to try an icord, I will let you know how it goes 🤞

Hello! Yes, you can knit this on straight needles! I prefer using circulars for heavier work, but if you prefer straight needles it will be just fine. The first stitch is slipped knit wise, the last stitch is a knit stitch but into the back of the loop. As for the handle, an icord should work just fine 😊 Happy knitting 🐼🧶

I don’t understand how do you get this kind of tube structure with the stocking stitch for the handle? I can’t find anything online, only I-cord, which uses double pointed needles

Is the bag only able to hold light objects? I suppose? How can I make it more sturdy? 😅 Love the video by the way! It was so helpful

The ones I have made are more for lighter items if you don't want it to stretch too much. If you are handy at sewing you can always make a liner to fit it. I am always open to suggestions if anyone has them at strengthening this😊

I was planning on knitting this using plarn (plastic yarn)! That would definitely give the pattern some strength. :)

@@okpeeeeee That sounds an amazing idea. Also I love the eco feel of this. Please let me know how you get along :D

Its not problem if i i'll use another thread, right?

Of course! Just bare in mind that changing the weight of your yarn will change the size of the finished bag.

This could be made stronger by knitting it in a wool and felting it
