Just watched this episode and wanted to let you know how beautiful the photography is and that I’m glad you made the most out of your trip! I live 20 miles south of Seattle, consider myself an “advanced beginner” knitter, and while I didn’t go on the cruise, I was tempted to join the Bainbridge Island trip just to meet some of my favorite KZbinrs! Also wanted to tell you that on Apple devices, when you flash a “peace sign”, you get the balloons. You were speaking of 3 items and when you held up two fingers, that’s when the balloons popped up! 😊 you can also do a “thumbs up” (or down) and will get that emoji on screen. Anyway, loved your video and even though I live here, I haven’t been to the shops on Bainbridge or to the Chihuly exhibit so you’ve inspired me to do so! Have a lovely day!!

Thank you for your summary of your Alaska trip. I’ve yet to go on this cruise. I am booked for the European knitting cruise with the grocery girls in August 2025. I would like to knit the hanging leaves top although I need to reduce the amount of ease, I guess if I just adjust the needle size this should work. Thx again for a great podcast!

Oh yes - simply go down a needle size and to maintain the drape, go for a lighter yarn like a sock weight or fingering. Its totally doable. Do look at the finished object photos as there are many good insights there too and lots of different people and different sizes. Happy knitting & enjoy the European cruise next year!

Thanks Beth for a fun podcast! I love your designs and your enthusiasm for all things knitting. It is so fun to learn more about Bermuda. I live in Alaska, south central, so it was fun to hear someone else’s view of my neck of the woods. I also lived near Bainbridge Island for a few years. The yarn shops there are both lovely. The space where Le Mercerie is used to be Churchmouse Yarn and Teas and that store was responsible for getting me back into knitting 20 some years ago after a foray into weaving and quilting. Now knitting is part of my everyday.

I'm Canadian & Bermudian. Born in Cda to a Cdn Father and Bdn Mother. Gone back and forth my whole childhood and all education was received in Cda. All my adult life and career has been in Bda. what an amazing trip you had. I love the stories you've brought back from your own adventures. I've noticed you're not a "touristy" traveler as much as someone who immerses in the local culture and history. I find that verry respectful! I'm going on a trip of my own in October, first time I've been anywhere since I retired 6 years ago. Solo travel can be quite freeing, and I'm looking forward to it. Oooh solo travelling is the BEST! Maybe I shouldn't say that as I might offend my husband and child, but... I love having the days to myself to do whatever and eat whenever or wherever. Plus one person can always fit in anywhere - a booked restaurant, packed exhibit anything! Enjoy!!!
