I love your remark about Mary Poppins and having a picnic. I was always so mesmerized at the Chimney sweep paintings and then them jumping into them. I was hooked on art then. Love your work very much.

Surgical Spirit in the UK is not Isopropyl Alchohol, it's ethanol and meths with castor oil, Methyl Salicylate, Diethyl Phthalate and other ingredients added. You can buy Isopropyl alcohol in the UK.

Beautiful painting-what wonderful talent you have!!! I am a beginning beginner in soft pastel at age 51. I live in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. Three years ago, during my first trip beyond Oklahoma, we stumbled upon Palo Duro (please pardon the misspelling) on our way to Carlsbad. What a secret treasure the canyon is!!! That hard packing foam that comes with art supplies works good too! It's white so you can cut it up and keep pieces dedicating to different colors. Popcorn works to but softer (lol...always looking for things to use in oddest places. Husband thinks I'm nuts 😀)

Oh sweetie, you did such a beautiful job with this.... the painting and the livestream. You're like me obviously in having to be a one man (woman) show. I've got to get the time to do a live stream, but it's definitely hard when you are doing it all on your own. You did fantastic!

I do not apply a fixative. The sanded paper grips the pastel. The underpaintings also help and I use a very light touch!
