Some of the riders are smooth and gracefully execute these patterns and some riders are still rough. Viewing the riders who have a tough time executing these patterns produces emotional tension, within me, when the bike crashes. I am recalling these patterns and processes and want to be able to recall and practice making corrections to my own riding and progress just as these riders are...

I just purchased a 2016 Roadmaster and am so grateful for these TECHNIQUE lessons. It does me good to see that I am not alone when it comes to learning these techniques. Thank you for posting these videos.

Yesterday I when I rode my bike to the dealership for service, which is about 100 miles away, my mantra was: "KEEP IT LOADED - use the clutch, throttle and back brake TO CONTROL MY BIKE". Before taking off on the short road trip, I practiced using the clutch, throttle and back brake so that I now know exactly where the clutch engages, and I am able to control the bike so much better by keeping that back wheel 'loaded'. Before viewing your video(s), I was doing everything ass-backwards and dropped my 900 lb. 2016 Roadmaster at a stop light the week before... If I lived closer to you, I would definitely take your course, but viewing your lessons multiple times and imagining how the techniques FEEL and then actually putting the techniques into play when I get on my bike... is working beautifully. Keeping my head up, eyes ahead (on the horizon) and not down, turning my head when making a turn and KEEPING THE REAR WHEEL LOADED is working wonders. I am practicing continuously and will always do so. Thank you so much! Yes, I have subscribed to your channel. You rock... and are saving the lives of many riders while making riding their bike so much more enjoyable for them.
Thank you very much for the donation!! I just noticed this!😁👍🏾

Robert I absolutely love your practice sessions wished I knew of someone teaching this is the great NW Washington. Love watching you teach this skill. What a difference you make in the motorcycle community. Steve.
The Trust and believe in the Figure 8 was absolutely incredible. My Goldwing brother really started to build his confidence as the day went on. Awesome to see. Every one did great.

Robert, you and the Preloaders were really putting on quite a good show in the figure eight exercise as evidenced by the onlookers at the rope line! Very good improvement by all participants.

Oh I really enjoyed this video too. Outstanding information Robert, I always hear you add more to each practice session. That practice range is something I dream of.
When stopping ALWAYS keep the RIGHT foot on the board and the BRAKE, can't stop a bike with Boot leather...Puting either foot down risks a broken ankle.. love the sessions, I watch all of them! Good job guys.. great improvements by hour 2 (Infamous U-turn).. nice Halloween festival by Cox HD
Sorry I missed this, we live close to Charlotte, NC. We will be at the next one.

At 2:13:28 you'll witness the best illustration of why we should ALWAYS wear a helmet. That student dropped his motor and then took a fall that had his head hit the ground with great force. Listen closely and you'll hear it. If this guy was not wearing a helmet it would have been ugly. It is critical that we all wear a properly fastened DOT helmet when practicing these skills. Instructors must always set the example in order to keep their students protected.

Limitation of the bike…I agree..I’ve had the pleasure of riding both metric and HD bikes..I was pretty decent and confident with my Nomad…however, there is no comparison to the HD’s for handling…Tue Nomad, bang for the buck…you want to get into a comfortable hwy bike…and are on a budget..the Nomad is really the way to go…however I remember the first ride I did, Ultra Classic…the immediate confidence and handling ability was amazing…it was like going from Android to Apple…very intuitive..and once I made the jump, I never wanted to go back to Metric.

Hey there, Mr Simmons! Love your videos. Have you happened to touch on friction zones on hydraulic clutches not being as broad as cable clutches? My 2020 UL has a very small friction zone which makes it more challenging, imo. I’m about to buy a new slave cylinder which will reduce pull pressure on the clutch handle and broaden the friction zone.

Thank you very much! Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed!👍🏾😊 Yes I have. Two of my motorcycles have hydraulic clutches. There are products that you can purchase to take care of that issue.

the hits just keep on coming! yet another great show. question.....what rpms is "loaded"? my multistrada idles at 1300 rpms. loaded is.....2000? 2500? btw, i just bought a throttle spacer kit that takes out the slop out of a loose throttle. nothing is worse than twisting the throttle and no rpms for a 1/4 inch. this kit cost peanuts but made a big difference for all your drills. you might pass that along....just saying.
How long should I ride before taking your class? I'm new to the motorcycle world and I feel that this class will help me a lot.
