I found this song about three weeks ago. I was a full-time caregiver for my husband of 35 years. He became disabled after a stroke caused by Covid. This song ministered to me so much, and I would often play it in his room, worshiping lifting up him and myself to the father. He passed away on July 4 in the early morning hours, and I have played this song almost continually ever since. We even used it at the funeral. I choose to rest in the Lord.

Amazing, this song also has ministered to me like no other. I am singing it tomorrow at my dad's memorial service. He was 73 and had a heart attack. He is entering even further into the rest of the finished work of the Heavenly Father.

My wife passed away 6 years ago after giving birth to our daughter. Every night, I read to her while she stares deeply into my eyes and listens intensely. I know that it probably isn't common to relate this song to a father-daughter relationship, but this song makes me miss my wife so much more. It also makes me love and cherish my daughter so, so much. I know that she won't be like this forever, and daddy won't always be her favorite person, and she will eventually get older -- but right now I'm happy, just spending time, passing it by in her arms.

Rest is found in His presence alone. True Rest. If you are saved by faith in JC you have it. But it can only be manifest by spending time with him and allowing yourself to be changed by His presence ( that will include, daily repentance, daily checks and surrendering everything to Him - all our agendas, what we think is good for us, what we want for ourselves, etc) Desire Him and not what you want him to do for you. If you dont desire Him ask him for a desire He is faithful to make it happen

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 11:28--29 : 28 “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” Amazing, because of God's mercy through the Lord Jesus we can experience Sabbath Rest by casting our burdens unto Him. Then we can have His yoke made light by learning from His humility and gentleness. Then we can have Sabbath rest for our souls because the Lord Jesus never stops doing good to His children, so we can learn from Him so we will also do good each day - because all days are Sabbath days for His disciples -- us who learns from our Lord Jesus.
