In this Creation Kit lesson, kinggath shows you how to take existing animations and reuse them to create all new furniture objects. In addition, this marks the release of a special new set of OVER 2000 animations prepped for use in Fallout 4 as a community resource that anyone can add to their mods!

This is dope. This is a proof of concept for something I thought about. I had the idea to create new furniture and place it all throughout the Commonwealth by sandbags, military barricades and some building corners, but have the animations set as the animations NPCs use when in cover to protect themselves from enemy gunfire. I actually want the furniture in question to be an almost invisible modified weapon workbench that only allows the player to change the type of clip that’s in the gun, because I intend to bind armor piercing, hollow point, incendiary, explosive and irradiated ammunition to the clip type instead of the receiver and add in new ammunition that can only be used by having the right clip in the gun. This would effectively allow players to change ammunition type in battle relatively quickly and safely and should even be useable on the PS4. The only give away that the workbench is there would be piles of scattered ammunition and ammo boxes behind sandbags and other defenses.

Once you have changed the AnimFurn* keyword, assign a new model. The yellow entrypoint markers will come back :)

Thanks so much for this tutorial. How can I use the Mixamo animations in dialogue scenes? I can preview them in the Actor preview screen but I don't know how to apply them to dialogue lines. When I click on a particular line of dialogue (so this is the same same box that shows the voice filename) I can see "Idle Animations" but when I click on "Select Idle", the list of animations is much smaller than in the Actor preview screen with all the Mixamo animations. Any help would be much appreciated! Edit: In fact there are a whole bunch of animations in the base game that I'm not sure how to access, such as Piper's animations when you first see her outside Diamond City talking to Danny Sullivan on the intercom. Any ideas how I could use those for a dialogue scene?

Thanks a lot for this tutorial, it's helped me so much. I just have one question. My preview window is wack, it's all pixelated and makes it really hard to see. Any idea why?

I could see myself spending hours just looking at all the different animations and coming up with ideas that would be way too hard for me to make. 😅
