@@rayvertti They have their reasons for making the HUD as eye popping as they did. They stated that with the new abilities and stuff, its hard to immediately know what you have available at your disposal. Taking your eyes off the action on-screen to look around through your hud might just end up leading you to your death because of how mobile you must be to survive. By making it brighter, its easier to know what is where and how many dashes and stuff like that you have in order to make split decisions.

The main thing I couldn't shake from my head was "OOH" every time Doomguy got hit

I was actually disappointed about it. It makes the slayer look weak and like he can't take a hit as easily. That and the blade arm. Let me put it to you this way: anyone can cut a dictionary in half but not everyone could rip one in half (although those new glory kills are still badass)

@@Jayfeather-cu1gc As for the damage grunts, I'd imagine you can disable those sounds, however they might be useful to actually detect being hit in this more close-quarters game.

You will be able to disable these sounds with no doubt, and the hud yeah is to colorfull...but not final build yet guys

I hate that Doom Guy sounds like Steve from Minecraft Edit: okay okay I get it, the classic DOOM Guy expressed pain. I just think that that 'oof' sound is going to sound really annoying and a turn off in the gameplay with Mick Gordon's ear-gasmic music. In the classic version I didn't mind it cus idk it was 'fitting??'; but in this version I don't like it that much, just my opinion :P (Even in the old versions in Minecraft, sure it was hilarious at first then pvp started getting annoying. The 'oof' in Minecraft makes me laugh ONLY in some amusing situations)

This game looks amazing!! Everything looks great- the weapons, the glory kills, the new demons and the new suit! I even love the HUD, and the grunting sound that the doomslayer makes when he's hurt. It shows that he's human and can be killed, staying faithful to the 'you are but one man' line.
