Everything we learn and put into practice from great literatures CANNOT be lost. Transcendental/Spiritual consciousness carries forward to next life, a better birth. Material consciousness such as greed, jealousy, violence, cruelty takes the soul to take birth in a lower form of life. We human are given a freewill to move UP or go DOWN. We are not independent when death will come upon us, the higher authority decides. However we can change our destiny through the freewill given to us.
