That instrument is called shehnai which traditionally played during a wedding. Which is beautifully used representing daughter leaving her parent's home, telling her father i will always be your little girl and never leave your side. 😭😭

Almost in every line they used Gujarati(regional language of India) metaphors and that is something that connects me to this song being a Gujarati. I give you one example, when Kirtidan Gadhvi (male singer) starts singing in gujarati, his first line is "o re o parevda, tu kale udi ja je re". It explains how a young bird dives into its first flight and then starts flying on its own by leaving the nest. The same way a loving daughter leaves his father when she marries. A father's urge to her daughter is to stay by him just for one more moment. I can just go on and on and on about these metaphors in Gujarati. 😍

@@dougel4709 its a bit different.. the snake charmer's flute is called a "been" shehnai on the other hand is played in weddings...they have a sligtly similar tone though!!

On the other hand, a snakecharmer's _been_ is played by just pursing the lips, puffing your cheeks and blowing air to make a pffffff sound. (like how a didgeridoo is played). But a been has an acoustic chamber (made from a dried gourd) to amplify the sound.

The lyrics is about the dad is requesting her daughter to stay with him one more day on the day of her marriage. He is remembering all the moments they spent together.... The lyrics can make you cry.

The reference to the string that pulls the cradle is a metaphor for the pull of fatherly love. This specific version is sung by Nando Fernandes from the band "Sinistra" and Angra's guitarist Rafael Bittencourt.
