@loveloyalty5637 жыл бұрын
I got nothing but love for Tboz and I know when she is talking about groups breaking up because of ego, she is speaking of Lisa. Let's be real by the Fanmail album Lisa wasn't even featured on half of the songs on the album. Her wanting to go solo wasn't about her ego, she was tired of not being treated like the other girls in the group. Lisa decided to go on her own because she was not progressing in TLC like Tboz and Chilli. It still annoys me that after 16 years they still can't understand why Lisa was upset and decided to do her own thing.

Agreed! Lisa did more for TLC behind the scenes than being featured on records. I think Lisa wanted people to know that she could rap and she had lyrics. I don’t think that her talent as a rapper was appreciated in TLC. However, her creativity helped TLC. For example, the cover art for the new TLC album. I’m sure Lisa would have came up with a better album cover or she would have made it for the new album.
@sirwinstoncarterlxxxvii25365 жыл бұрын
She wrote songs I don't understand why they never had her as a writer on the albums, I mean yeah she wrote her parts but she could have wrote there parts too! Plus it would have been more money for them. In my opinion I felt like they thought they didn't need a rapper after crazysexycool but after her death they realized they needed her more then ever.

TLC was preaching the truth about today's artists. They have no real talent, no real drive, no real artistry and need artist development. Rihanna is a prime example. She's been in the game for 10 years broken so many records and still preforms like an amateur and now she's the standard! Someone with next to no talent that got lucky with a couple of microwave hits is now the standard. That's a huge slap in the face to someone like Michael Jackson or a TLC who not only made good music, but where phenomenal performers, but now it's all about how good you look and how candid you can be. Take me back to the 90's.

There are no more r&b groups because right here right now, that's not what the majority of people are checkin' for. That's not what the _powers that be_ want to push, promote and market. Hell, true blue r&b singers have given into _trap._ Hell, most of them don't know if they're comin' or goin'. It's hard to be completely original when everything's already been done under the sun. If it is original then we complain about it being garbage. I get what y'all said though.

It's so sad what happened to Lisa. She was gone too soon. And they're right about the power of record labels. There's no creativity in artists these days and those that have, the record labels don't allow them to express their creativity. The only girl group right now that come as close as to the legacy left behind by TLC, Destiny's Child and Spice girls are Little Mix. They've been together for 8 years now ever since they won the X-factor UK in 2011. They're so talented, but at the same time, underrated as eff! These girls can really sing, dance, rap, harmonize and all the members get equal parts. There's no member trying to outshine each other and they're actually best friends. The world is so unfair! 🙄😑
