I was incarcerated with Kemba for a short time in Danbury, she was truly a calm humble soul. I thank her and her family for fighting for the CAUSE, her story is all of our story🙏🏽🙌🏽👏🏽🇯🇲

Hey Ed Gordon. Back when BET was really great. You had Donny Simpson with Sherry Carter, you had midnight love, Comic View, Teen Summit, the list goes on and on. All I would watch with a few exceptions was BET. Would never miss an episode with Tavis Smiley. So many memories. ❤❤❤

I can relate to Kenna’s story I myself was wrongfully accused. I had to wait 18 months in prison to have a court hearing I was denied bill. Trial lasted 30 days I was acquitted. I was a mother of three at the time it’s hard trying to pick up the pieces get that time back that you missed with your children and family I’m still affected, so yes, I can relate to Kenna’s story

I remember reading the article in emerge magazine and still have the article in my library of paperwork. I would make copies of the article and have all of my young female students read it just so they know that whom they decide to be in relationships with can negatively affect their lives .

@@sonyabolden9652 She had parents AND family, friends and strangers who stood up and fought for her. They’re many parents who did the same (and more) just as her parents but didn’t end up with the same results. I just feel that it would be a great thing if all of the incarcerated innocent people could also get the same outcome. She and her family were truly blessed in this situation.

People are just not getting it. They don’t give 2 flips about you me black white hispanic or anyone else. As long as their kids aren’t on the plantation (penitentiary) . The plantation is a business that feeds the beast. Nothing is not now or will ever be fair or just. Be honest with your kids. Prepare them to be able to thrive in this unfair and unjust world we live in.
