Yes, ranks 10 to 15 are pretty close this year, if a few points were exchanged, then 6 countries could have earned a completely different placement. It's not necessarily political voting, it's just that neighbour countries probably have similar taste in music. Also the fact that a singer competing for a certain country may be famous in another, ig Foureira in 2018 went with Cyprus but she established her career in Greece. Most of us expected to not qualify. We're not mad about that. We're mad about the way ERT made the decision to send Victor, and ERT has been receiving harsh criticism for months (justified imo). Victor did the best he could and I truly wish him the best in the future!

The precedure followed by ERT to choose our representative, however, was not good and its obvious that ERT wanted him, so they did their best to disregard the votes of the 70 people they brought as a jury (which was Melissa Mantzoukis - Liar). Whether an artist does their best or not is not really the issue here, but how the artist was chosen. I sincerely wish Victor the best in his future, especially because his career had a rough start. I'm also sorry for the essay 😬
