What kim mother says is like what she carries she doesn't really care about morals she cares about whether they got away with a particular scam or not. And also kim really wanted a parent who would like be strict or discipline which her mother looked like earlier in the scene but it was a ruse

Their Anti-Howard plan will work out fine for them in the sense that neither one will actually be criminally tied to whatever goes down. If Jimmy were to be found out he’d of course be disbarred again, there’s no way for Kim to be found out alone without implicating Jimmy so the mere fact that he’s still practicing law and not really tied to any criminal charges regarding HHM in brba convinces me that however horribly the plan could go, I think they’ll somehow get away with it and then immediately come face to face with the consequences of the cartel plot.
