This whole series would never have originally existed had it not been for extenuating circumstances. Saul Goodman was introduced into season 2 after they had to scrap their original plans for the season with Tuco as the main villain due to Raymond Cruz's role being expanded on The Closer, necessitating his character being written out. Originally Hank was intended to be the comic relief, but they saw his character development becoming more serious and Saul was created to both bring more humor to the show and bridge the gap between Tuco and Gus. Mike then ended up in the final episode of season 2 as the "I know a guy..." that Saul is always referring to when Bob Odenkirk had a scheduling conflict.

That's one of my favorite thing about Better Call Saul, that not only we get to learn more about characters we already know and love, but also discover new ones! 2 of these new BCS characters are now in my top 5 for the Breaking Bad universe.

Idk if you remember, but Michael Mando (Nacho’s actor) is playing Mac Gargan/Scorpion in the MCU. He was in Spider-Man: Homecoming with the tattoo. That post-credits scene he had with Vulture still hasn’t been resolved. He got the Adam Warlock treatment. I’d like to see him play both Scorpion & later Venom. Gargan becomes Venom sometimes in the comics. I feel Mando can play a psychopath well and it’d be cool for them to show off the horror side of the symbiote after Peter spends a lot of time with it. Have the toxic relationship build up during their bond, same with Black Cat, who deserves a live-action portrayal by now since Peter moved on from MJ.
