JD batwing mower with real mower mod is a an excellent combo. That’s one of the first things I did starting out while cutting trees down. I did a lot of mowing and cleaning up the farm area.

So you want to combine Mechanic Simulator together with Farming Simulator? Honestly could be pretty cool. They could even have an option to have "garage" where you can have the game do complete maintenance for you if you don't like that gameplay mechanic for a percentage of the equipment's value. Maybe they could implement a rusting mechanic for equipment that's left out in the rain? But that would require a lot of work on figuring out collisions for what counts as "outside" which could be a pain in the ass if done wrong... And Farming Simulator isn't well known for good collision\trigger point accuracy.

For the Combine... really nice 1983 JD 6200 (9100 euro) has turbo version. Comes with 2 small headers but there is a JD 600F headers mod which I use with it. Has 6m (20 000 euro), 6.6m (22 000), 7.6m (25 000 euro) headers. 7.6m needs the turbo JD 6200 and cant do hills but it should get you going with a good harvester! Love all your series and you keep me smiling and positive through exams at the moment. Keep up the incredible work!

Hey Dags loving the content so far! Can’t wait for the next episode. Theres a couple things I’d definitely like to see on the survival challenge, if you happen to implement them awesome! If not I’m still interested to see where this series goes! When it comes to tractors there’s a couple I combed through Mod Hub and found that might fit for the play through, knowing you’re looking at the Fiat with 150hp I included a few others. I know a lot of farms have usually 2-3 tractors on hand, one as the work horse that pulls things and one as the utility tractor with arms. I’ll pop a comment below this with the 9-10 ones I think might work for you either as a next buy or a bit down the road. When it comes to the land I think when you buy that next plot instead of continuing the field I think if you were to make a rectangular area, like a staging area with a Barn and/or a few sheds to store things, implements and tractors in and that would be right where you field ends at the top hen below that have 1-2 fields that could be crop, or if there’s 2 then a smaller one for animal feed. And have a dirt road from you silos up between the very large field and the trees you planted, then up between the big field going towards to top of the new plot where the rectangle are area is would be a pretty interesting setup.

I didn't understand how you cleaned the sheep, but I see it's really cleaning the trough surroundings of spilt fodder ...which is and odd requirement, but, fair enough... btw I never have a problem with sound levels, first person on the combine, or otherwise, it's perfectly balanced afaic .Some equipment IS noisier than others, that's life...

There is a mod that adds a broom for manually cleaning animal pens. I think it's a good intermediate step as you can leave the broom in place and quickly clean the pen without needing to bring a tractor with a bucket over. I can't remember the name but it's something like animal broom. It's on the modhub

With the remaining chaff you have in the silage pit spread some of it over the feeding area markers if you do this it won’t spill anymore which technically means you aren’t cheating

That fully fertilized patch in the field is due to the grass being cultivated in plus the fertilizer applied by the drill, I would think.

I have to say that it's funny every time to see you sned a whole tree in seconds, when in real life it can take hours, plus then you have to dispose of the foliage and branches you won't be using, which easily fill 1 ton sacks or 3.

The patch of field that is fully fertilised despite not looking fertilised is because you ploughed grass into it. Apparently ploughing grass makes it 50% fertilised, a bit like ploughing in oilseed radish.

I was going to mention this last week and apparently forgot. I own areas 25 and 27 in my game and I can say that 27 is better for a few reasons. The hill with the small stand of trees looks a bit steep but it's pretty manageable once you cut the trees out. Besides that it's a very pleasant area to work with. 25 is very nice for the most part but you do have the rocky area to contend with and on the east edge where there is another rocky spot there's a somewhat tricky hump that loves to drag equipment. Otherwise 25 is also a very nice field, but 27 wins in my opinion. There is also the matter of 28-30 which are also very forgiving and when you consider future purchases they would make for a great farm extension with few headaches. One thing to add: If you do end up trying to terraform or reorganize your existing farm layout, there is a spot just behind the silos that I haven't been able to flatten at all. Must be something buried in the terrain there, such as a stump I missed, and it's just untouchable. You probably won't have to deal with it at all unless you move your silo entirely.

If you look at Happy Animals Mod Daggerwin it will tend to the animals for you in the morning, but it isn't free so that could still counter the fact that it's an easy option.
