Funnily enough I’ve literally just finished watching is 4 part documentary, and it was much more interesting. I found out a lot more (I thought anyway)!

I'm an American who knew nothing about Robbie when I saw this & I loved it! I don't believe you need to be a fan to enjoy this film because the music, the cinematography, the direction, the acting, not to mention the special effects, make it a work of art. It certainly made me want to know more about him & for that I found the Netflix docu-series & his entire performing life on YT. Now I can say I am a fan. This movie has so much heart that any adult should get something positive out of it. 9 out of 10 for me!

That’s awesome!! I know Robbie became quite popular in America during the early 2000s, but I’m not too sure about now, so I suppose a lot of people in the US don’t know anything much about him!

@bradderz Not really. His record label pushed him to us in 2000, give or take a year or 2. I was not into pop radio or MTV at that time, so I missed it. They released a compilation of his first 2 U.K. albums, called The Ego had Landed, which has sold to date about 600,000 copies. Of the 3 singles they tried here, none made the Top 40. Rob decided he enjoyed living in America anonymously, so he stopped the promotion, which aggravated his label big time.
