Great tutorial, I even managed to get better results a lot easier. I simply copied over all the Windows fonts from the windows/fonts directory on a Windows 10 pc. They all work on my Debian 11 pc.

The best thing to do is download Calibri and Cambria fonts and installing it on your distro by going to home create a .fonts folder and extract the download fonts.

Great tutorial like always, thank you!! Can you do a video on how to setup dual monitors in Linux, please?
@kychemclass58503 жыл бұрын
Linux Mint 20.1 Had dual monitor support out of the box. Double check your settings if you're using a recent distro. Mine ran fine as a static monitor (it was actually a graphics table but the digital pen function was permanently offset). Zorin OS 16 pro worked for graphics tablet.

BTW, does anyone know of another good FOSS alternative to Audacity????
@dontmindme87093 жыл бұрын
Audacity _is_ FOSS, though if you really need something else I guess there's Tenacity which is a fork. It's early days for it though. Haven't tried it myself
@crazychicken03783 жыл бұрын
@@dontmindme8709 audacity is no longer FOSS, as the project was purchased by a company which then closed the source of the code and introduced an end user license agreement (that kids under 13 could not legally sign thereby making it a violation of the gpl V2 license). There are multiple forks but none of them have done anything different besides maybe change the name
@dontmindme87093 жыл бұрын
@@crazychicken0378 Yeah I guess it takes time for the forks to actually go anywhere. Also, the developments in the situation regarding Audacity aren't over, so it will be difficult to say what will happen and what will become of the forks. Where did you get the idea that Audacity now is closed source? The company that bought Audacity only bought the rights to the brand, not the source code. They wouldn't be able to do that because of the GPL. The drama stems from their proposed privacy policy, which I don't know what they've settled on. At least the part about about children being advised not to use the program seems to be gone. It's been poorly dealt with, but I think it's too early to speculate too much.
