The mod creator straight up made the nether and end have a reason to explore and even live in besides a few unique materials and items. I'm definitely thinking of making a Ender palace in this mod as a long term goal! There are some shaders that work with better end, but I forgot which ones. Not like it matters, it looks gorgeous in vanilla Minecraft lighting!

The Better End mod seems more complicated with it's anvil combos and the block that is cold...no no no this girl likes warmth. I also like the Better Nether Upside Down Forest bc it's woodsy. The city structure is my favorite building inside this biome bc it's fancy. For the mob I pick the Flying Pig bc hey it flies and I like bacon. The only consumable in Better End is cave pumpkin 🎃 after all it does sound tasty. Me likes to consume anything pumpkin. So stick me in a forest meet me in the kitchen with bacon and pumpkin pie and any "surprizals" will be met with kick butt armor that is fire proof.

@@purplehaze2358 I mean, they did give us A LOT, while keeping the game vanilla, which this mod fails to do. Sure, it adds a lot of stuff, but all the mobs? Every mob in minecraft has a purpose, and most blocks they add have a purpose in the game, that adds a lot to it. Take dripstone for example... Sure, some biomes exist solely for building materials, but even they usually have something going for them. This mod tho? It fails at that. Sure, it adds a lot of cool building blocks, and it actually fills end quite nicely, albeit it has the same problem as the nether, but its just... Useless. It doesn't have a purpose, it doesn't interact with the game mechanics... Which makes it much less enjoyable. Meanwhile, everything they added in the nether upgrade has a purpose, and builds into the game amazingly, adding new mechanics and enhancing the old ones in a way that allows for a lot of creativity... Plus I still pray every night to that one person who remade netherrack textures, they are a god.

Been playing the mod for a few days now. Mostly been farming hard in th overworld. The overworld is arguably the prettiest part about this mod (given that you have nice shaders to go with it). In comparison, the nether is very... busy and seems cluttered. Some biomes actually look cool, while others just hurt to look at due to the myriad of saturated colors of blocks and nether fog you will encounter. I have not visited the end yet, but it does seem to be more of the same. I feel like the insane overworld set my expectations too high for the rest of the mod. Oh well...

@absollnk I may have assumed something wrong in that original comment--Better Minecraft includes these mods so I may have lumped these mods in with Better Minecraft. Anyways I am a bigger fan of AllTheMods 8. Great selection of crazy mods that somehow work 99% flawlessly together. And ofc, the Nether looks way less busy, though still expansive and varied.

@@absollnk Fair, yeah! I honestly feel like my primary gripe was that it didn't seem to work very well with my shader pack. But absolutely, it did kind of suit that idea of it being a really alien place that makes you feel unwelcome, and that you have to grind your way through to make more habitable. But idk, I guess I just felt like I needed more help navigating it and finding stuff. And the shader issue.

I tried Complementary shaders and found that most things worked, but because of a few things that weren't working I decided to say Better End is not shader friendly. But if you can look past those non-working things then the shaders are a good option!

Did not like. The Nether was supposed to be a dark and hellish place and the End was supposed to be a dark and mysterious place. These biomes were supposed to be new portal worlds.

a key feature of better end / better nether is that its highly cutomisable through configs, you can set the densety for every single feature/plant for every single biome individually for example. Or you just reduce it for all biomes at once which is also an option i think.

I can't remember 100%, it's either the mod and/or the shaders I was using. Try sildurs vibrant shaders and complementary shaders

You can find stalagnate stems in the nether jungle biome. They look similar to Minecraft's bamboo and they will be covered in purple-ish vines.

In order to plant willow trees netherrack is required. You can grow these trees in the overworld and speed up their growth with bone meal, as long as they're planted on netherrack that is

Is it normal that cincinnasite-diamond is stronger than netherite?

Cincinnasite-Diamond tools are both weaker and stronger than netherite. The C-D sword deals 1.5 more damage than the netherite sword, while the other C-D tools (except for the hoe) deal less damage than the other netherite tools. But you should also look at the durability and mining speed before making any conclusions on which is better.

@@CrimsonGamingMC check those mods out because are awesome...they completely overhaul both the nether (incendium) and the end (nullscape)...are both made by the same "team" that made terralith, a mod that completely change the world generation of the game by adding a shitloads of new and sick biomes and by doing a completely overhaul of basic minecraft. anyway thanks for the response.

I have the betternether mod instaled and when I make a new world and go to the nether all I see is the nether and glowstone dripstone and not any of the new biomes or mobs. I looked over 2000 blocks and no sign of any new biomes. I also see the new structures. Is this just an unlucky bug?

I've never heard of something like that before. Did you install all the necessary mods? I don't think Minecraft would let you launch the game but I thought I would ask anyways. Even though you traveled 2k blocks, I would recommend using the /locatebiome command to get a clear answer if this is a bug or not. If the command can't locate any of the biomes then something went seriously wrong with your world generation. Have you tried making a new world to see if the problem would reoccur?
