I tried another shot at coquina jaspers, and had some mixed results that were mostly positive.

Such a detailed process but produced nice specimans. Would be neat to see it cut down the middle of the one you mentioned. Copper wrap would so pretty! Love to see that. 😊

They are called jasper, but they are not. if you look up the MOS hardness for Calligraphy stone, it say 3 - 4 on the hardness scale. I have recently tried using corn cob media in a vibratory tumbler, and they do look a little better.

Good point. I should have looked them up with their nicknames. 3-4 sounds about right.
