Really cool that you showed this knot. I've actually been using this knot ever since I've been using your ropes. But knot (get it? Ok, ok I'll get to the point) because I thought it was so much more efficient but because I find knots very fascinating. I have books like "The Ashley Book of Knots" and various books showing the knots sailors used throughout time. The figure 8 knot reminds me of the symbol of infinity. It's a reminder to me every time I start skipping of the infinite possibilities we have when we concentrate and set our minds to something. It also makes the rope shorter than with a standard overhand knot. Stay safe and healthy!

Impressive! Unlike other KZbin skippers there, Rushi definite is open for new idea as long as it will make your skipping much better! Hands up Boss!
@nevillevizard52343 ай бұрын
One of my favourites KZbin on skipping. I've done skipping for about 5 weeks now. I've done single skipping, boxer steps, then I tried double unders, having said that, I find it difficult at the moment.

I’m 41, took up boxing just before Christmas which is what brought me here, I spent a couple of quid on a cheap rope and just decided to get one of these bad boys in the mail 💪

Sh*******t! This knot works! Been jumping rope for 2 years. This knot definitely made the "flow" of the rope better. 💪

What's funny is I noticed the kink long ago and googled all types of knots and this figure 8 knot is what made the most sense to me also. I was getting my knots caught on each other sometimes with the traditional rush double knot

Night and day difference with the knot tied correctly! Figure 8 FTW 2 months skipping and just changed my knots 🪢 If you ever clipped a curb and then noticed your steering judder on the highway it has the same effect. Feels like I just wheel balanced my ropes haha.
@chrislitohoro3914 жыл бұрын
I tried this new method and it makes complete sense. The rope is much straighter and the revolutions feel better. I also adjusted the ends gave a little more length and feels perfect for me height. Thank you for sharing this video.

Thanks for the upload! I tried the figure 8 knot. For storage, I hang all my jump ropes on an overhead hook so the jump rope handles hang down . The next morning, I glanced at my jump ropes and the one with the figure 8 knot was hanging straight. I don't know if it'll make a difference in my jump roping abilities, but the figure 8 knot does keep the rope straight.

It’s nice to see you can offer and take advice off one another and allow everyone to benefit, my daughter actually came across your tutorial a week ago, what can I say well you’re most def are a huge inspiration, it’s easy to get out of routine and keep disciplined, I’m a mum of 6, and maybe getting older need to get back into fitness, couldn’t agree with you more - skipping most def helps shift that unwanted weight, it’s trialed and tested by many. Think me and my kids will most def be keeping tuned into all excellent videos even if it’s a gradual start doing just the basics, many thanks to all your efforts, u have most def encouraged not just me but my kids too, keep it up, wish you all the best with your venture and may we all benefit from it. Great work to you and your team!

This new knot is a real life saver! I owned a money rope (which I loved to bits) and I stupidly cut the rope too short for me. Because of this, I can only do max 1 knot per side. But 1 knot per side is still give too little feedback for me. I tried this knot today and the feedback is great!
