Great video and the speaker pods look quality 👍 for anyone watching, I’d recommend applying sound deadening to the metal door skins while you’ve got the door trims off. Made a big difference in my 80, wish I took a before and after dB reading.

Hi, very detailed video. I was wondering why you didn't use the existing holes in the front doors to put speakers in? In a HDJ81 (Japan version) that is the default location for the front door speakers.

Thanks for watching, there is hole’s in the doors but they were not suitable for decent sized 6” splits and this made it look very neat and it may be that I have a hzj80 povo pack model 😊

Great video mate really enjoyed watching. Why didn't you put six by nines in the backdoors? Was there not enough room for them or it wasn't your preference?
@njpw14023 жыл бұрын
Hi Mohamud It was a bit to tight since I don’t have electric windows and the winding handle was seemingly in the way but maybe they would fit I’m not sure 🤔 thanks for watching.

It’s a shame it didn’t cover back door ash tray holes. Wonder if they would make them longer to cover it.

Yeah that would have been nice and maybe I could have done something about that but oh well 😕 , thanks for watching 😄

Hey mate very helpful vid! Just wondering what head unit you went with and how much those speaker cards set you back?
@njpw14023 жыл бұрын
Hi Jake thanks I think I spoke with you on Instagram but for others information the pods were $500 for the full set and the stereo is KENWOOD but that particular model has been super seeded and I wired it in manually as the original wiring plugs were non existent, thanks for watching 🙂

Odd my type r speakers don’t have a problem with the grill. But they aren’t what they used to be but still one of the best these days. it goes alpine type r then Rockford fosgate power Series then focal. Everything else is absolute shit now.
