Atmos has processing and compression, the best and fastest option is linear PCM. That’s what I had on when I had a Pulse 3D, and I keep it even now with the Audeze Maxwell.

I saw the same video you did from hardware Canucks, however after doing my own research and playing around with several headsets. I have to politely disagree and say that if you’re using a Dolby approved device, that’s the option to choose.

I know that this doesn’t relate to the video, but I trust you most when it comes to the making of controllers. I’ve had my dualsense edge for about 7 months and out of nowhere I’m experiencing max input stick drift to the left on the left thumbstick. Did some research and found out that people are having the exact same problem (same drift, same stick) around the same time. Do you have any idea why this may be happening?

Probably just completely random. Had my original controller since day one without any stick drift then it suddenly started after all those years. Could also have something to do with the game your regularly playing that it’s a specific stick and a specific direction. All in all the type of sticks used will have drift and depending on the game you will notice it. Most game have a dead zone that will eliminate small drifts so you may be playing with a controller for years without notice. Others like Crusader Kings 3 will immediately show issues

@@Seitenwerk the drift isn’t normal. It’s registering max input in the left direction. No matter what game I play, the controller will always register max input to the left. I went on steam to check the position of my left stick and it was like (-32000, 10). This basically means that the stick is fully pulling to the left. I’ve had controllers with stick drift and they’ve never been registered max input. The crazy part is that a week ago I had seemingly no drift. What i found weird is that people are having the same drift with the same controller around a similar time. Leading me to believe that it could be something else.

Sorry for the late response Jay, I don’t really have an answer for you it sounds like a random issue which could pop up at any time with potentiometer thumb sticks. Luckily you got about five months on your warranty, or if you didn’t want to turn in your controller you can just swap out the left module as they are swappable

I might be crazy but after months of use I prefer 3d over elites. Elites distort bass at high volumes, have crackling noises and are very sibilant. But worst is that elites seal so well I can constantly hear my heartbeat

I bought these and then sent them right back, not because of the sound quality but because of their fit. They're massive on my head, stick out so much, offer no adjustability. Fit is different for everyone of course, I was crushed as I really wanted them, especially for the price and positive Gamer Heaven review.

@@playnicegames I'm invested in audiophile shit and yet even I like how warm a lot of Razers headsets are, although its pretty useless for gaming purposes. Razer is very looked down upon in the audiophile world, but no one really cares. I currently have the Steel Series Nova Pro with the DAC base station, and I don't like the LACK of warmness or good sub bass. 350$ just so I could reload the headphones with another battery like a damn gun. It's good enough.

You should try out some IEMs. The TheiAudio Monarch MKIII, Xenns Mangird Top, and Yanyin Canon II are all great for thier price points.

Are you using the 3d tempest with the maxwells? I heard that with unsupported ps5 games it sounds very muffled. Also, if you’re using tempest 3d, what ps5 soundsettings are you using? Av receiver?, linear pcm..? 😁

I have both a PC38X and the pulse 3D. While the pc38X sound slightly better in most situations when it comes to the PS5 audio specifically the pulse 3D is more impressive (must EQ properly). I don’t know if they recently did a software update or something because they didn’t sound this good when I first got them 😂

Pulse 3D are garbage. they aren't comfortable, Tempest literally works with everything, and the only thing they've got over the Elite are the removable pads.

I've been using my Arctis nova pro wireless, including the WC Black freeze hybrid with my PS5 for a long while now, for single player games exclusively. They are awesome at least since Playstation updated the 3D tempest engine with Atmos sound position intelligence, the surround fx are insane on these cans now. I'm getting the pulse Elite since I was actually blown away by the Pulse Explore buds, especially after exchanging the ear tips for The Azla Sedna xelastec ear tips, those mold with the warmth of your body into your ears, big difference in passive NC. I have been trying to buy the Audeze Maxwell since they came out but since I'm in Europe it proves to be impossible as they sell out everywhere. The elite pulse will have to do and I hear from other youtubers they sound pretty much the same.

I just replaced my 7p+ with turtle beach stealth pro.. got the ps5 version for £230 on amazon.. great sound and app and got simultaneous Bluetooth

The Audeze Maxwell are generally known as the best you can get. They beat competitors like the Steelseries Nova Pro Wireless with ease. There’s pretty much no wireless headset that offers you this quality precise sound. Countless reviews on KZbin and others will tell you the same :)

I recently got Pulse 3D as a gift. I’m facing problems with it I don’t get the EQ menu when is connected and non of the controls respond with PS5 I have to do everything from my PS5. Plus the left cup makes lots of plastic sound if I move that is so annoying I wonder if I have a defective device.

You only being able to control it on the ps5 could be you using it wired. If it’s wired and connected to your controller then you’ll have to control it on the ps5. Only wireless will you be able to use the controls on the headset.
