You showed some good techniques but I can't believe you used the bathtub to clean your filler tube. It looks like the tub was lined with plastic but seriously...use a 5gal pail. With that said I did learn that I am mixing my mud a little to thick for running tapes. Thanks for sharing and I do use all the tools your featured. Great quality.

what is the size of the flusher for tape coat and the flusher for finish coat?

I use a 2.5 inch to flush the tape and a 3.5 inch to finish, some prefer a 3 inch to finish, but I find the 3.5 inch fills better.

When I started in 1973, Canadians would come down to Miami in winter, cut a slot in each bottom end of a pan, nail it down to one end of a sawhorse, and pull tape thru it with mud in it. They would then put big loops of mudded tape around their necks. Some started using a rubbermaid pan around their neck like the cigar-cigarette vending lady. We called it the Hungarian slop box.

Notice how he has to over thin the mud. Every bucket of mud has a warning written on it that says do not over thin. So you've got substandard work from the start. The whole point of this method is to make things easier for the finisher. Not to make a high quality job for the owner.

They are using taping mud which has glue in it. When it dries the water evaporates the glue stays and the tape shrinks into the joint perfectly. You can also add glue to your mud

never put tape in inside corners, it will crack, use a flexible joint instead
